I purchased the 200 for my 90 gal. drilled tank. It fit underneath with room for some storage. It was easy to install although the hose was put further into the mesh sock. Skimmer fits well, as does the pump. There is a good amount of space in the middle area for sand, live rock, and algae. I have not had the sides bow. This was so much easier than making my own.

Although I received my first order and the glass cracked, it was by all means not drsfostersmith's fault as I know the package handler aren't the best. I immediately contacted customer service and they immediately shipped me a new box the very next DAY!!!! Now that is what I called great customer service. The product itself it very nice if you built a system to adapt with the refugium. My setup was completely different but I just adapt with what i got. Everything else is great, water flows smooth, plenty of rooms.

I've had the R100 for my 65g for about a year now. It's held up quite well and has enough room for my reactor, skimmer and some live rock.
I too found it to be pretty noisy, UNTIL I extended the inlet line almost to the bottom of the filter sock. This cut the noise down dramatically. Some sort of enclosure around the inlet would be a nice improvement though Eshopps. The sock really doesn't do much for sound reduction compared to just getting the line under water. I have good flow throughout the sump and no bubbles entering the tank. I have 2 Fluval E Series heaters (which are also very reliable and easy to set/ check) that are sensitive to poor flow, but they haven't signaled any 'Low Flow' alerts yet.
I don't have any noticeable bowing as mentioned in another review.
When I upgrade I will definitely get another one of these.

Refugiums 101 Refugiums, small aquariums that either sit next to or hang onto an existing saltwater or reef aquarium, are used by a growing number of aquarists to continually cycle water into and out of the existing tank.
Natural Filtration in Reef Aquariums A growing trend in the marine hobby is the belief that a reef aquarium should mimic wild ecosystems as much as possible. This means simulating the food sources, biological filtration, lighting spectrums, and water movement found in nature.
Expert Advice: Bio-Active Sumps Spanning the most basic to the most advanced applications, a seemingly mundane piece of equipment, a sump, can provide numerous benefits, most important of which is improved water conditions.
1. Mechanical Mechanical filtration can greatly improve the health of most aquariums, and is also important for the efficiency of your biological filtration. The process is simple: mechanical media strains solid debris. See All Articles
