All-season aeration kit ensures proper surface gas exchange that eliminates toxic gases from your pond. An essential product for fish ponds located in areas that experience freezing winters!
Pond Logic PondAir Pond Aeration Kit is available for ponds up to 1,000 or 2,000 gallons. Each kit comes with a high-efficiency compressor (air pump) with adjustable airflow regulator. For best results and to prolong the life of the compressor, protect your compressor with small
Faux Rock Cover.
PondAir-2 is for ponds up to 1,000 gallons. Includes high-efficiency, dual-output compressor, 2 rolls of 30 ft black vinyl tubing, 2 blue airstones*, and 2 check valves.
PondAir-4 is for ponds up to 2,000 gallons. Includes high-efficiency quad-output compressor, 4 rolls of 30 ft black vinyl tubing, 4 blue airstones*, and 4 check valves.
*Manufacturer recommends 2 feet maximum depth placement for airstones.
Install the compressor in a covered, dry area located by the power source. Position the compressor on a firm surface away from excessive dust and ensure that it is higher than the water level of the water garden or pond. If the compressor is below the water level, the water can siphon back into the compressor if the power is switched off. This may cause the compressor to fail prematurely.
Unravel the airline and run to the water garden.
Connect one end of the airline to the outlet nozzles on the compressor and the other end to the blue airstone. The included check valve should be placed closest to the airstone.
Plug in the air pump.
Move the airstones to a position where they will provide the best aeration and circulation for the water garden.
For best results and to prolong the life of the compressor, we recommend you cover the compressor with small Faux Rock Cover (Item #77221).
Before performing any maintenance or cleaning, always unplug the unit from the power source.
Compressor Diaphragm: Over time the compressor diaphragm can become worn. This will greatly reduce the air output of the unit. We recommend replacing the diaphragm once a year.
If you have loss of airflow, check the following:
Make sure the flow regulator hasn't been turned down.
Make sure the filter isn't blocked. This can happen if the compressor is placed in a dusty area.
Check for leaks and blockages in the airline.
Make sure there are no kinks in the airline, restricting the flow.
Make sure the airstones are not clogged. Over time, they can become clogged and may need to be cleaned or replaced.
If all the above has been checked and you still have reduced airflow, then more than likely the diaphragm will have to be replaced.
Please read the instructions thoroughly before use. We highly recommend that all pond equipment be plugged into a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter). The pump supplied with this unit is not submersible and should be installed where it will not come in contact with water. Close supervision is necessary when the unit is used by or near children. Always unplug from the power source when unit is not in use, before cleaning and before putting on or taking off parts. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper rating should be used. A cord may overheat if the power cord is rated for less amperes or watts than the unit rating.
Danger: Please follow the following directions to avoid possible electric shock. If the compressor falls into the water, DO NOT reach for it. First, unplug it and then retrieve it. If the compressor shows any signs of abnormal water leakage, immediately unplug it from the power source. After installation, the compressor should be examined to be certain that there is no water on parts not intended to be wet. If the power cord has been damaged, DO NOT operate.
Vital to its inhabitants, your pond water should always be near oxygen saturation. The key to maintaining sufficient oxygen in your pond is understanding its basic chemistry. Learn how to keep the oxygen levels in your pond at a healthy level.
