Naturally condition pond water and decrease ammonia and nitrite toxicity. Specially formulated liquid solution contains select strains of the nitrifying bacteria Nitrosomonas, Nitrospira, and Nitrobacter for fast and effective reduction of harmful ammonia and nitrite. 32 oz treats up to 16,000 gallons for initial application.

Directions for Use
For optimum nitrification and ammonia removal, first treat your pond with Microbe-Lift PL (#818300, 818313), with select cultures to reduce organic levels that may inhibit the nitrification process. Because nitrification requires adequate levels of alkalinity, check the pond's pH level and, if necessary, adjust it to be in the range of 7.2 to 8.4. Wait 24 hours and add the recommended rate of Microbe-Lift Nite-Out II to a well-aerated section of the pond, i.e., waterfalls or water return area. Use Microbe-Lift Nite-Out II when your pond water temperatures are above 55°F.

Microbe-Lift Nite-Out II is designed for pond waters that contain aquatic life. Its highly-specialized microbial consortium of nitrifying cultures is specially formulated to eliminate ammonia via a natural biological process termed nitrification. The cultures contained in Microbe-Lift Nite-Out II will establish, promote, stabilize and maintain nitrification in pond waters, eliminating their toxic effect of ammonia.
Microbe-Lift Nite-Out II liquid nitrifying bacteria contains select strains of Nitrosomonas, Nitrospira, and Nitrobacter. Nitrosomonas convert ammonia to nitrite and Nitrobacter and Nitrospira convert nitrite to nitrate.
Microbe-Lift Nite-Out II comprises select microorganisms that are autotrophic - able to use carbon dioxide as the sole source of carbon - and are relatively slow-growing, requiring specific conditions for optimum growth with typical cell division rates from 8 to 16 hours. Their performance and rate of growth is impacted by the environmental parameters required for nitrification. They are also oxygen-sensitive, requiring high dissolved oxygen levels (greater than 2mg/L) to achieve maximum growth rates.
Nitrite is produced by beneficial bacteria in the pond through oxidation of harmful waste ammonia excreted by fish. Even though nitrite is not as toxic as ammonia, it is still very damaging to the health of fish.
