Cleaning Instructions:
Clean out the feeder on a weekly basis.
To clean, remove lid and empty out dried-on seed and debris. Wash the seed tube and perches using warm, soapy water. (Use a mild liquid soap, no harsh detergents or bleach.) Wipe off any stuck-on residue from feeder. If necessary, use a small bottlebrush to tackle any stuck-on messes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Wipe with a cloth and allow feeder to dry completely before refilling.
General Information
Droll Yankees Seed Saver XL Dome bird feeder can be used for any seed type, mealworms, suet, or fruit. The dome acts as a weather shield and can be lowered to exclude large birds. The base of the bird feeder is threaded for optional pole mount.
No matter what size bird you wish to have at the Dome Feeder, start with a 3" gap. Adjust the distance between the dome and the seed tray by moving the Collar and Set Screw on the brass hanging rod. After your feathered friends become familiar with the feeders (which may take several weeks), move the dome down in half-inch increments until all but the birds you like are excluded.
