Directions for Use
Hold hummingbird feeder upside down over sink. Unscrew base from bottle and drain out any remaining nectar. Rinse out base and bottle thoroughly. Fill bottle with nectar solution. Reattach inverted base firmly to the bottle, and flip over with one smooth motion. Hang hummingbird feeder in desired location, and enjoy the visitors.
Fill your feeder with a simple mixture of four parts water and one part white sugar. Boil to completely dissolve sugar, and then cool completely before filling hummingbird feeder. Do not use colored nectar, as the dye can be harmful to hummingbirds. Replace nectar every few days during peak season.
Create a Hummingbird Haven
Along with hanging your hummingbird feeder in a location that offers a quick dash to cover, we suggest you also provide landscaping that produces flowers, berries, seeds, or fruit. In addition, provide a birdbath or other source of water; hummingbirds love to flit their wings through a splash of water. Avoid the use of chemical pesticides and herbicides to ensure a safe environment for your hummingbird visitors.
