We have HIGH chloramine and ammonia levels in our tap water, and we add this product when we fill up from evaporation or a partial water change. The other reviewer seems to have mistaken how the product works, but if the filter system in your pond is functioning properly, and levels are otherwise normal, this product will suspend the bad stuff until your filter has a chance to digest it, so to speak. It works great. We have an 8500 gallon pond, for reference.

For years I have purchased a product called "Ammo Lock" from your web site to remove ammonia and chlorine from my two fish ponds. When I went to the site to re-order it, I could only find your brand (Dr's Foster and Smith) Ammonia Remover. When I went to use it and read the directions, I discovered that I have to use about five times the amount of your brand chemical to produce the same results as the Ammo Lock. The Ammo Lock requires 10ml for a 100 gallon treatment and your brand requires 50ml for 100 gallons of water.

I have a 1500 gallon pond with 5 koi. I bought this product about 3 weeks ago to try and control the ammonia level. Before using the product, I tested the ammonia level in my pond and noted the result. Also, I reduced the feeding to once a day and made 20% water change. Following the recommended dosage of the product according to my pond size. This product is Garbage. I even tried to double the dosage. The ammonia level made no change with this product.....
