Tired of hearing your dog's elbows hit the hard floor when she lays down for a nap? And wishing your dog's bed smelled better? Pamper her tender joints with 4" of thick orthopedic foam. Drs. Foster and Smith Distressed Paw Twill Deluxe Orthopedic Pad with ScentLok® Odor Control Dog Bed features a supportive, dome-textured, polyfoam core AND proven scent-blocking technology that prevents pet bed odors from taking over your home.
The Drs. Foster and Smith Distressed Paw Twill Deluxe Orthopedic Pad Dog Bed reduces stress on pressure points like elbows and hips and springs back to shape the minute your dog vacates it. This mat-style dog bed makes a perfect addition to your dog's arthritis care regimen, and ideally suits aging/senior dogs.
The addition of ScentLok Odor Control to the Drs. Foster and Smith Distressed Paw Twill Deluxe Orthopedic Pad Dog Bed means that pets with coat odors and/or occasional urine leakage can enjoy a fresher-smelling bed day after day. ScentLok technology uses activated carbon, loaded with microscopic scent-trapping craters, to minimize pet odors on the dog bed. ScentLok is placed on the foam, inside the bed liner. Remove pad cover and place liner-encased foam pad in the dryer on the lowest setting to freshen and recharge ScentLok. NOTE: Since the ScentLok technology is located on the foam, inside the bed liner, we advise you not to use a waterproof liner with this bed, as the waterproof liner will block the activated carbon from reaching the outer cover, where most dog odors are found.
Choose your cover style: all twill or twill with hair-grabbing cream berber. Our hefty 7 oz poly/cotton twill resists stains and won't wrinkle. Machine washable, zippered cover features accent piping for a classy, finished look.
Use the Drs. Foster and Smith Distressed Paw Twill Deluxe Orthopedic Pad Dog Bed as a stand-alone bed or place it in your pet's cage/crate/kennel for a layer of supportive softness. Accessorize with optional Waterproof Liner. Vinyl liner covers the entire foam core to keep it dry and protect it from stains, odors, and bacterial or fungal growth.
Keep a second cover on hand for accidents, for laundry day or just when you want a different look.
Bed Cover Care Instructions
- For best results, wash the cover using regular washing detergent.
- Always use cold or lukewarm water.
- Turn cover inside out to protect the no-stain finish.
- Always equalize the load in your washer, especially if the cover is large. Sopping wet covers can become so heavy that they may unbalance your washer.
- Tumble dry on low heat, or line dry (recommended for darker colors).
"Every dog should have a bed - for warmth, comfort, and the security of having a place of his or her own."
Dogs tend to select couches, chairs, or beds as a place to rest or sleep. They prefer the comfort and warmth these items of furniture offer compared to a hard floor. Dog beds provide the same comfort benefits and they keep pets off furniture - an important consideration for many pet owners who prefer to keep their furniture free from pet hair. A bed introduced at an early age, reinforced with consistent training, will keep your pet off your furniture for his or her entire life.
Where you place your dog's bed is entirely up to you and your dog. Just remember it is his or her resting-place so it's best not to place it in a high traffic area of your home. Many pet owners place their pet's bed in their cage or crate once he or she is house trained, while others prefer a location near where they spend much of their time so their companion is always nearby. We offer a wide selection of styles and color choices that enable you to choose a bed and changeable cover that complements your decor.
