Width adjusts between 26" and 41". 12-1/2 inch extension available for a total of 53-1/2 inches.
To clean, wash gently with mild soap and water. Wipe clean. We suggest removing set screws when separating sections for cleaning. Periodically, check all screws, bolts, etc. for security and proper adjustment.
It is designed to be installed easily with a minimum amount of time, the least amount of screw holes, and without elaborate and difficult instructions. Installs in just three easy steps.
Step 1: With gate in open position, place gat on carton to establish a height of approximately 1-3/4" above floor. A height of 1-1/2 to 2-1/4" is acceptable. If mounted in a doorway, mount gate on doorstops so that door stop will not interere with the pendulum safety ring and allow for two-way operation. Use short screws to reach a stud through drywall. Be sure gate is level before proceeding. See photo for leveling adjustment.
Step 2: Loosen width adjustment set screws enough with allen wrench to allow gate to expand. Keep plastic shipping tabs in place. Tabs will be discarded and set screws tightened after final adjustments.
Step 3: Place latch bracket on latch rod, as shown with bracket snug against bottom of eye bolt. Expand gate so that latch bracket is against mounting surface and mark holes
. Separate bracket from rod and mount as marked . Close gate and make final adjustments according to note below. To close gate, raise latch rod, push against safety ring, and drop into holes. To Open gate, we suggest that you use thumb to push safety ring to the side while raising latch rod with middle finger.
If gate is mounted at the top of stairs, install one-way safety bracket at lower hole of latch bracket with safety bracket towards stairs This prevents opening of gate over stairway for safety purposes.
