Rawhide: Top 5 FAQs
When it comes to choosing a treat for your dog, pick something you know will get her full attention. It can be difficult when walking down an aisle at the pet store, faced with hundreds of treats. Always remember, treats should serve a specific purpose. Also, be sure to give your dog a little variety.

Training
Think small or find a treat you can easily break into smaller pieces. Small treats are perfect and portable for use as training aids and quick rewards. Just be sure your dog can quickly devour the treat. Otherwise, she may become distracted from the task at hand.

Dental care
Dental treats are designed to help prevent and target oral problems. If dental issues arise with your pet, they can be painful and costly. A flavorful dental treat may effectively prevent plaque buildup, tartar formation, gum disease, and the germs that cause dreaded "doggie breath."

Weight loss
If you plan to treat your dog often, smaller, lower-calorie treats are generally a good choice. Low-calorie treats will help your dog stay slim and healthy. Treats should not affect meals and should constitute no more than 10% of your dog's diet.

Distraction
Rawhides keep your dog from destructive chewing while benefitting her dental health. Whether your dog prefers traditional knotted bones, rings, chips, rolls, or sticks - flavored or plain - there's something for every dog. Long-lasting rawhide chews are great for occupying your dog's time.

Whether your dog scarfs down a treat in seconds or takes her time, treats should be fun. Plus, don't be afraid to mix it up! Explore our wide treat variety, and test a few out until you find the exact rewards your dog loves.
