Another great toy for Lovebirds, tearing paper. My one Lovebird "Barnabas" loves the roll that you pull and tear paper.
I have another one with color felt. He tears all the felts. Even the two Parakeets "Elaina" and "Matt" love this toy.

My Lovebirds love the "Jungle Talk" toy. They call at night when they want the lights turned off and at 5-6pm when they want to call for dinner. They sometimes play the calls all day. We even have one at our desk to respond to them.
Another toy I'm just trying is the toy where you tear paper. Our one "Peach-faced Lovebird", Barnabas, is tearing the bottom paper into shreds. I'm planning on purchasing another one. He loves to tear the paper until it's nothing but shred paper. The photo on Dr. Forster & Smith shows a Conure playing with it. I'm going to try it with our Lovebird.

Anything they can shred. My lovebird shreds newspaper, toilet paper rolls and she loves the twig bird toys. She will also chew on birdie wooden ladders. She does not eat anything she shreds but it makes her happy!

My lovebird adores shredding paper, like magazines, phone books, junk mail... especially crunchy (card stock) paper, like phone book covers and post cards. She gets really happy if I feed them to her, one at a time, while she's sitting in her nest. She also likes to eat sunflower seeds (in the shell) that I push into the parrot pinata. Lastly, she loves a rope-wrapped ring for a good head scratch.

I have a pair of Peach Faced Lovebirds. They love to shred anything. I often buy their shredding toys from a local pet store. They have toys called, Chinese takeout. It looks like a food take out container stuffed with celophane noodles, dried corn cob husks, paper coin rolls, and other shreddable things.
Dr. Foster and Smith catalog has a toy called a ball cluster, which is actually for a larger bird, but the lovebirds devour it in about three days. They love anything that they can tear apart and spend their days busy destroying their toys as best they can. They love the wicker stuff.
But, those are my birds and what they really seem to enjoy. Lovebirds have such high energy and need to be occupied all of the time. That seems to keep them happy.
Every bird is different, but I think that shreddables are a good place to start.

little plastic ball with bells (they can hold with their feet), Pinata (to see if your's like to shred), Have you seen his/her chew habits and if so then use that as a way to get a toy that he may like (such as a wood toy with a treat he may have to chew his/her way to), forgaging toys. Sometimes it is a hit and miss and then you find the toys they really like. Different birds like different toys and even the same kinds of birds like different toys.. Good luck..

Answer:

The best toy for a Macaw would be a "Paper Shredder". My Loverbirds and Parakeets love this toy.
Look on the toy list, the plastic blue wheel that you hang up and add a roll of paper to.
They have different sizes. I got the large size, one for my 2 Peach-faced Lovebirds and 1 for my Masked Lovebirds.
I also got a small one for my Parakeets.

The "Jungle Toy" that makes calls, my birds listed above, call me. I believe the large ones, Macaws enjoy.

Like all birds, Blue and Gold Macaw's choices will change over time. Any durable toy that allow your Macaw to tear it up will give them lots of Joy. I hide treats in any new toy I but in My Blue and Gold Macaw, Sierra's, toys. It gets her to explore the toy to find the treat and helps her to get over any fear she may have of the new toy. She loves the toys that have, paper, cardboard, cloth or leather on them to tear up.
Her absolute favorite toy is one that stays in her cage all the time. I got it here and have bought four of them over time because she does eventually destroy them. She LOVES this toy. It is a 4 way foraging toy with plastic cups on four chains that hang from the top of her cage. She has even fallen asleep leaning against the toy and cooing at it.

My blue and gold needs very large hanging toys that he can stand on and destroy. A large clump of blocks from scrap wood with holes in the middle strung with natural sissl rope that is hard to chew through. Make sure wood is not green pressure treated as this is poisonous and the rope is not treated with oil. They love preening the sissl rope to shreds after the blocks are gone. "Atom" shape bird perch that my blue and gold will climb around in circles for hours. Anything that swings is a hit. Toys with vine balls can be filled with treats wrapped in tissue paper or newspaper. Cardboard boxes are favorites. Fold a piece of heavy cardboard in a fan shape and jam cardboard through the cage bars and bend back a a tab or two on the outside of the cage so the bird can't pull it in the cage. Phone books are favorites. Hang from outside through top of cage with the pages in between the bars. Birds love to rip the pages out one at a time. This is the longest lasting toy for a blue and gold. A new cotton mop head is soft and a favorite for preening. Stainless steel bells are a favorite as my bird loves to "box" them. If you can find fastners that are acrylic balls that have a screw hook, you can put the ball on the outside of cage and the bird can't undo the bell. My birds love to play catch with me with a 1 foot square of soft fleece. I toss it at the bird's feet and reward them when they throw it. Eventually the bird will toss it back to you. I have a bird stand with a single T-perch. I unscrew the perch and I put a heavy cardboard box with a hole in the bottom lined up so I can screw the perch back down. The box is now under the perch and held down in place. I fill the box with chunks of left over toys, wood, tissue, paper rolls, toilet paper rolls with nuts inside and sprinkle in more nuts, etc. The bird has great fun digging throughforaging and destroying the box. I have a "lobby broom": a broom and dustpan with a long handle I use to pick up the pieces at the end of the day and put them back in the box. I made a tower to climb on out of two wire shelf kits for a bathroom . I stacked them and put three shelves on it. I had to get extra connectors from the manufacturer to put the 2 kits together but you could probably put dowels or pipe in the tubes to do the same thing. I put large caster wheels on so it can be moved easily. Put a large piece of cardboard on the bottom shelf and extends it past the sides about 4 inches to catch any poop. I put newpaper on it too and can change easily. You can hang all manner of toys on them and the bird loves to be up high and look out a window. Just be sure they cant reach the ceiling, etc or they will chew it. There are PVC perches that hang from the ceiling that are excellent for these big birds . Make sure you hand them from ceiling protectors. I have one of these perches and it is indestructable. I found that plastic office chair mats make excellent barriers for floors under cages and play areas. I bought 2 huge ones online and that keeps my wood floors in my bird area pristine. The mats came rolled up and I used a hair dryer to flatten them. You could also put them in a hot automobile in summer for a few hours and flatten them when they unroll. Be creative and you can find many inexpensive ways to keep your bird busy and happy. But remember, your attention is what the bird wants most. The big birds need at least 1 hour of interaction per day and time out of the cage. Let them sit with you for dinner, share snacks with them. My birds love the smoothies I make for all of us which is packed with fruit, protien powder and kale. I let them lap it from a tablespoon while I drink mine. They also love mixed vegies from a tablespoon as well as my cockatiiel. We all eat this together and have our flock time!

My blue and golds could give a Ph.D. engineer a run for his money. I have found anything that can be dismantled or unscrewed keeps my guys fascinated. After coming home from work and finding the cage laying in pieces, I invested in a stainless steel box toy that has all kinds of wing nuts, hex nuts, screws, washers, etc. for them to unscrew. No matter how much I tighten everything, both of my guys work religiously to take it apart. I also invested in a cage that has no hardware.

I have a baby Blue and Gold, he is 4 years old, and he likes any thing that he can destroy and colorful, he also likes anything like baby toys that make noises of any kind ( try to make them plastic not rubber) and keep a close eye on them for exposed battery's or leaking battery's, as soon as you see this get rid of it and buy a new one, he also likes the ones with flashing lights. He also likes anything I make myself out of my old clothes that has my sent on it, and maybe tie on some dried fruit for a treat.

two different kinds: big wooden hanging toys they can climb on and chew, like the big ladders etc.
the other thing is toys they can easily destroy in a day or so like bird kabobs. Obviously, that can get expensive, but they love it. Have not had good luck with the pinatas with large macaws, but African Greys love them. I have 3 large macaws and have been keeping them for 10 years.

My female eclectus Hates anything that isn't stable. If she can't get a solid footing, she wont go near it. I have tried hanging ladders, swings, bridges etc. and she will try to break them, but not walk on them! She does occasionally use her spiral rope perch, but she doesn't use it regularly! A lot of the recommendations for the eclectus say medium to large sized toys, but I disagree. She likes toys fit for cockatiels much more. Occasionally she will chew on wood blocks, but for the most part she really enjoys paper, leather, popsicle sticks, wicker, and other easy to destroy toys. I don't know how great these are for her, but she loves plastic baby toys! She loves to tear up thin plastic toys! I know it seems like a money pit, but the way I see it, the faster the toy is completely destroyed, the more she liked it! Good Luck!!!!

My eclectus likes the spiral bungees. It's not exactly a swing but it has movement to it. It is her preferred sleeping area.

My eighteen year old male eclectus will only play with paper toys, but will make a rare exception and bite on wood, if he can pick fit it in his beak. Tearing up paper is his speciality, although he doesn't do it to the papers on the bottom of his cage., thank goodness. He rarely picks up anything with his feet.
I don't have any swings in his cage, so I can't help you out with that.

i actually use cat toys alot for her cause u can get the ones that have lights and noises

Pretty much any chewable/foraging toy with palm leaf, wicker, leather, paper, or wood is good. My Eclectus pretty much ignores any pieces of wood he can't really grab on to, though, like the big blocks you find on Macaw toys. He really enjoys those treat puzzles (until he figures them out, haha), and that one toy with the roll of paper in it was a huge hit. Wicker balls with fun or yummy things stuffed inside are good, too. Also, those build-your-own-toy kits are great (half the fun is making the toy together!) and learning toys like the little bank with colorful shapes to put inside are good to have, too. Toys sized for Conures to Amazons are usually the right size for Eclectus.
As for swings and ladders, I can't really say. Mine has never liked either very much.

I have the Shred Master Toy for my Lovebirds. I purchased the small one and my parakeets love it!
I don't know if finches will like the small one, but you can try.
My two Parakeets, "Elaina & Matt" love the Paper Shredder.
The rolls of paper come in small and large.

I'm not sure what species you have that is smaller, but purchased the smallest one they have (which I believe they listed for cockateils) for my lovebird and she adores it. She was a little afraid at first but once she saw the paper and gave it a tug, she was sold.

The best toy for your Cockatoo is the "Shred Master". My 2 Peach Faced Lovebirds; 2 Masked Lovebirds and even 2 Parakeets love this toy. I hang it in their cages and pull the paper down and they love pulling the paper!!!!
Also the Jungle Toy that makes the calls "hello", etc they love. At night, they call me and hit the buttons.
These two toys are great. The Jungle Toy you will get large and the same for the Shred Master.

i have a goffin cockatoo and he loves stuffed dog toys he plays on the floor of his cage with them he also like the large wood toys that the macaws like he likes to chew on them i am going to get him some game and toys that Dr foster and smith carry that's where i get the toys from they're great

Medium size and some larger toys. All birds regardless of size love to shred, pull and tear up things. We buy toys for our birds to destroy!. Leather strips, paper, sisal and cotton are good choices, and anything with a bell. Get a good bell, because Goffins are extremely intelligent birds and will figure out how to remove the clapper in no time flat! Goffins need puzzle toys to keep them occupied.

Thank you for your question. Plenty of chew toys should be provided since Goffin’s Cockatoos are enthusiastic chewers that love to work things over with their beaks. Being very smart birds, they can also keep themselves amused with puzzle-type toys. All toys should be made for cockatoos or large parrots for safety. Goffin’s should also be provided with toys made with an array of different (and safe) materials since they thrive on variety. Toys should be rotated in and out of the cage to keep them interesting, and they should be inspected and cleaned regularly. pxp
