Best O-ring Lubricant I Have Ever Used
On my pool I have an old-style sand filter valve. I have used different o-ring lubricants but the valve always was very hard to move. After I lubricated it with this silicone lubricant, the valve moved much easier.
I also have an old three-way valve (Ortega - I would have to break out some concrete to replace it)) and have had the same results when I lubricated it with this lubricant.
However, I only applied it two weeks ago, so I do not know how long it lasts.

You really need this stuff
Instructions in almost all the filters I have tell me to use Vaseline or plumber's grease on "O" rings. What they don't tell you is that these have a tendency to get gummy after a while. They stop lubricating and the seals dry out and crack. I'm also a little suspicious of the chemicals in Vaseline or pg. I like to use this silicon lube every time I disassemble filters (put a little on the impeller pivots) or re-seal something. It's a small investment to keep your equipment in good shape.

Sent down from the heavens...
This stuff is fantastic. Whenever I clean out my filters or power heads I always put a fine layer of silicone lubricant on all of the rubber O rings. I makes reinsertion of all fittings an absolute breeze. Vaseline will eventually shrink anything it touches so that's a bad idea. I have been using this stuff for years and years and will continue to do so with excellent results.
