We have a 13 year old, 75# Lab who LOVES to swim but has been having trouble this year due to his age. He loves this Life Vest and it fits great! He wears it all day on the beach and it stays in place (even with him rolling in the sand after each retrieve). I feel much better knowing he can safely swim with our other younger Lab.
I bought one for each of my dogs and it really boosts their confidence in the water; very good if you dog is just learning how to swim. We use them at the beach and if a wave takes them out, they pop right back to the surface. Mesh helps keep the vest in place and the handles in front and back make it easy to lift into a boat or hold the dog for a rest in the water. If you are training a water rescue dog, you can use the back handle and it doesn't pull your dog under because their chest is still able to come toward the surface. I really enjoy this jacket and its design, easy to clean and put on. Only con is you need to make something to keep the zipper from coming undone. We use velcro power cable ties. Works great!
