Higgins Worldly Cuisines Cooking Diets for Birds Variety 6-Pack
My bird's favorite!
My bird loves this stuff, and it's good for him! I get the variety 6-pack, and he loves all the flavors. It seems kind of expensive, but for one little bird (parrotlet), it lasts a long time. I cook one package at a time and freeze it in ice cube trays and then transfer the ice cubes to a freezer bag for storage. I thaw one ice cube a day for him. So easy, so good, and it smells wonderful.

Yummy, Healthy Food!
Perky, like most parakeet pets, usually rely on dry seed mixes made of mostly millet. It's really hard to get them to eat anything else and my Perks is no exception. I could get him to nibble on cucumber or lettuce but anything else was a waste of time...and food.
Then I bought a cooked food by another company and he loved it. Unfortunately, they went out of business. I was so happy to see these and thought I would give them a try. They smell so good when you're making them, they taste good (yes, I tried some) and of course, my Perky just yumms it up! I bought African Sunset and Tuscan Dream. If you're having trouble getting your "fids" to eat, just mix in a little of their seeds with it and gradually reduce the amount until they are only eating the cooked meal. While foraging through the meal for their seeds, they'll get a taste of the food. I mix in some extra veggies and a sprinkling of Prime vitamin supplement for an extra boost of nutrition. It's working well for my little boy.

Delilah LOVES her home cooked meals! I love cooking for my bird, knowing she's getting a nutritious meal and this is super easy. This was the perfect way for me to try out each flavor, because there were a couple that she just didn't love. Her favorite (by far!) is African Sunset.

This is a very good product.
My sun conure loves this. He is crazy about it. It is easy to make and it makes enough for 3 days. I definitely recommend it. My friend makes it an freezes it in small single serving containers.
