Vitacoat^® Plus

Original formula promotes the overall health of your dog's skin and haircoat. Contains high levels of linoleic acid, an essential Omega-6 fatty acid from wheat germ oil that provides an effective water barrier to the skin. Also contains Omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil. Excellent for long- or short-haired dogs, this outstanding supplement also contains the antioxidant nutrients Vitamins A, C, D, E and the mineral zinc to support the body's natural defenses. Also contains B vitamins. Great for the maintenance of a gorgeous, shiny coat. Delicious bacon flavor. For dogs.

Suggested daily use: Adult dogs: 1 tsp per each 20 lbs of body weight. Puppies, pregnant, or nursing dogs: 1 tsp per each 10 lbs of body weight. For extremely dry or brittle coats, double usage for first 5 days.

This winter our German Shepherd developed very dry skin and a shabby coat. She scratched constantly and would leave large clumps of hair on the carpet throughout the house. At the end of January 2007, we started giving her Vitacoat Plus. Within a month, the scratching and shedding stopped and her coat has become smooth, silky and healthy. I have a Rottweiler and a Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix. I bought the large Vitacoat and ran out about 1 month ago. I didn't think that it was working. Boy was I wrong! Since I've stopped giving my dogs the Vitacoat, their coats are dull, they're scratching, and they are literally shedding buckets of fur! Vitacoat will be a lifetime friend for us from now on!!

Our sweet 8-1/2 year old Scottie, Jake, started developing an odd crusty, itchy skin condition following a grooming in May of 2006. After testing for Cushing's (negative), mites, and a few other blood tests (over $1200) I asked the vet if we could try him on antibiotics in case it was a bacterial infection from the grooming. She agreed and after two courses of antibiotics, the crusting is gone. However, during this entire process, I began Jake on the Vitacoat to supplement his diet in order to maximize his skin health. His coat is absolutely beautiful with no dryness or dandruff. He never scratches. He just seems healthy, happy, & looks great. This is a miracle worker!! I have a Collie named Angel. She looks like Lassie. She started having a skin problem about 7 months ago. I tried several products and put clothes on her just to keep her from biting her back end. She had 3 bare patches on her hind quarters. I found this product and thought I would give it a shot. I didnt think it would work. About 2 weeks later all the redness was gone. By 4 weeks all the skin had returned to normal smoothness.Around 6 weeks all the long hair has returned and it is as beautiful and thick as it once was. Her shedding is also down 90%. This is the best product ever!! I will use it forever!!

My cocker spaniel, Jackson, had a real problem with itchy, flaky skin. I tried 2 different shampoos from my vet and he wanted to start him on pills. Jackson's hair on his chest was falling out so as a last resort I tried Vitacoat Plus. What a difference!! Within 2 weeks his hair was growing back and Jackson's groomer even noticed a difference. She said whatever I was doing to keep on doing it. No rough, red, flaky spots on his skin. She said the clippers just fly right through his hair with no rough spots to catch the clippers. I would recommend this product to anyone whose dog has a skin problem.

AWESOME!!!! I love this product. I have a Pomeranian, and his coat was not fluffy. It felt dry and brittle. I kept trying conditioners for his coat to no avail. I read reviews about this product, so I gave it a chance. What a tremendous difference in my Pomeranian’s coat. He is so fluffy, soft, and silky!!!! WOW! Love it!!! Bailey is our Yellow Lab. She was shedding so much hair throughout the year it was difficult to keep the house clean. I could vacuum the family room and all it would take was for her to come in and lay down on the carpet. When she would get up there would be a pool of hair where she laid. Then we discovered Drs. My Lab/German Shepherd dog, Casey, used to shed terrible all year and had quite rough fur. When she shook the hair would literally fly off her. Since I started giving her Drs. Drs. Foster & Smith Vitacoat Plus is the best product I've ever used! My eight-year-old longhaired German Shepherd suffered terribly from itchy, extremely dry skin, that he would chew constantly. He had completely lost all the hair on his backside and we were always yelling for him to stop chewing. He had been to the vet numerous times, but the fix was always short term. I tried Drs. Foster & Smith Vitacoat Plus not thinking it would work. In a few short weeks he had stopped chewing and started healing. I've used it for about six months now and he has his beautiful coat again! I have and will continue to recommend Drs. Foster & Smith VitaCoat Plus to all dog owners. We have three dogs and Vitacoat Plus has made such a difference for all of them. My six-year-old Sheltie, Darwin, has a super dense coat and for the longest time it was dry and brittle and he suffered from itchy, flaky skin. I tried numerous shampoos and pet shop remedies all to no avail. After subscribing to your catalog and reading recommendations from other users, I ordered the Vitacoat Plus. In just three weeks I could not believe the changes in his coat. The coat was soft and lustrous and stayed that way. This product also decreased his dry skin and he no longer scratches. Everywhere we take him I get compliments on his beautiful coat! Not only did Vitacoat Plus help my Sheltie, it also helped my two rescue Greyhounds. Both had terribly dry and flaky skin and my older Greyhound, Ginger, began shedding an awful lot. Again, Vitacoat Plus helped significantly. Their skin is now soft and the scratching has subsided, as has the shedding. With all the trauma my new Greyhounds had been through, I didn't think anything would work. Thank you Drs. Your Drs. Foster & Smith Vitacoat Plus is wonderful! My Boston Terrier, Otis, has been using it for almost a year now and his coat is absolutely beautiful. You should see how he reacts when I show him the bottle as I add some to his food. He jumps in the air while barking and flipping in circles. It makes me happy to see him respond so positively to a vitamin formula. We are both very pleased with this product and would heartily recommend it to everyone.

I'd like to recommend Drs. Foster & Smith VitaCoat Plus to all pet owners. Our older Chow, Suzy, was losing her coat and her skin was very dry and itchy. She would drive us crazy scratching! This stuff is fantastic. I gave the Vitacoat Plus to my 70 pound half Siberian husky and half German Shepherd named Halo and a week later I have seen a big difference, I would like my dog to have more multivitamins. So I cut the dose in half now and also give him Lifestage Select Adult Dog Vitamin Supplement.

I have a one year old rough coat collie who was shedding uncontrollably. I decided to try this product and after a week I noticed a huge difference! This product is wonderful! Not only did my German Shepherd stop losing her hair in clumps, but I stopped pulling my own hair out as well! It was a rough winter and her coat was looking the worst it ever had in 10 years- even with twice daily brushing nothing seemed to make it better. Then I got an email from Drs. My dog had very flaky skin. When I would pet him at length, I would get white residue on my hands. He also scratched so much he almost became bald in areas. He doesn't have the white residue any more. A big plus: I recently noticed that he no longer has the unpleasant smell common to Basset Hounds! There's been no change in his food, shampoo or anything else that I can attribute this to. We previously used a prescription product that cost considerably more and had to be used sparingly or he wouldn't eat his food. It helped somewhat with the flakiness but didn't work as well--and it didn't do anything for the Basset Hound B.O.
