Can open the tank without taking off the lights.
Does exactly what I bought it for. It is so much easier to feed my turtle now.

Hinge lid works great!
Hinge lid works great. So much easier to get into habitat without having to remove lid completely all of the time.

nice lid
I liked the fact that this lid hinged. Most of the screen lids I saw don't so this will make it a lot easier during feeding times. Fits the tank nicely.

Not just for reptiles
I just started a saltwater nano tank and fish tanks just do better without those closed lids. However, when you have fish that are prone to jumping out of the tank, you need something to keep them in. This works great with a little bit of modification. The metal screen wasn't too hard to cut with a good set of wire cutters and it adds just enough of a ledge for my light to fit securely over my 10 gallon tank.
