How to Care for your Thick Foam Pad For Twill Covers: Unzip and fully remove cover. For best results, wash cover in cold or lukewarm water. Use regular detergent. Tumble dry on low heat or line dry (recommended for darker colors).
For Vinyl Covers: Easily wipes clean with a mild soap and damp cloth.
Benefits of Foam: Solid foam beds and pads are comfortable for all dogs, but are especially recommended for large breeds and older canines, which often develop calluses over their elbows or hocks. These problems can be prevented with the use of foam.
While any dog will enjoy the comfort of orthopedic foam or "dome-style" beds and pads, they are especially recommended for dogs that are older, larger, have arthritis, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, calluses, or any bone or joint problem. Dogs can get "bed sores" too, so dogs who are recovering from an illness or surgery and are going to spend a lot of time laying down would also benefit from orthopedic padding.
There are various styles of orthopedic beds and pads on the market. Look at the features before you buy. Beds and pads should have:
A washable cover with a heavy-duty zipper
Medical-grade solid orthopedic foam (looks like an egg carton)
A firmness which will make it easier for your pet to stand up after laying down
Remember to place the beds, pads and crates away from drafts and colder areas, which may make your pet uncomfortable.

My Siberian Husky loves her crate pad. Before we went on vacation, we got her a new crate and crate pad because we were taking her along with us and needed to have her crated when we weren't in the house. She destroyed and bent the wires so that she could escape from her last crate, so we wanted to make sure she would be comfortable in her new one. With the help of this crate pad she was. We actually wished she would have came out of her crate more during vacation (She slept in there voluntarily!). Three months later and she still loves her crate and has not tried to destroy it.
I am purchasing my second crate pad. My two year old Labrador was once afraid of the car. After feeding him in and near the car and finally putting the crate pad in his crate, he loves the car! In addition, I brought the pad in to wash the cover. Before doing so I put it in the crate that I have standing open in my living room. My 14 year old Lab just loves it. In fact, she likes it better than her bed and my sofa. So, today I am purchasing another one. Thanks very much for your interesting and informative catalog and your fine products and service! ALL you need now is a picture of Beau gracing your fine catalog!
I just had to let you know how pleased I am with the first order I placed with your company. This thick foam crate pad is wonderful! I purchased it for our 4 month old Labrador puppy, and I had barely placed it into his crate when he ran in, layed down, and made himself comfortable for a long afternoon nap! He loved it immediately, and of course so did I. It fits his crate perfectly, and is of very good quality. The Odor Logic cover treatment is an added plus. Oh, and I don't want to forget to tell you how impressed I am with the rapid delivery. I ordered this product on Tuesday, and it arrived on Thursday!
I got the Vinyl cover, and both my dog and I love it. I was looking for a waterproof, inexpensive, durable pad and I found it here. The vinyl is very comfortable and flexible and has not been punctured by my 90lb dog's claws. He does not mess it up like any of the cloth pads because it lies flat and fits perfectly into the crate, so he can't "dig" in it. He sleeps there most of the time now, leaving my bed relatively "drool-free".
These are great crate pads. I have 2 cockers and one likes to dig in his bed. This is the only pad he has not torn. It is very durable, I have had them for about 3 years and could probably use a new foam insert, but the cover is in great condition. they also give more support than most pads/beds.
