Allot better than vinyl tubing.
Vinyl tubing kinks and the hose stretches and leaks at fittings. Silicone tubing will not kink as easy and the kinks want to unfold again. I use this to run CO2 gas from a bubble counter to a ceramic defuser. That takes 10lbs of pressure to make bubbles. This tubbing has no clamps and the tubbing does not come off! I also use this tubbing to pump water into the tank as a water top off. All the connections are smooth an contain no barbs to hold the tubing. The tubbing has never come loose or leaked.

Nice tubing, good price
This isn't silicone tubing. But it isn't the typical, cheap PVC (vinyl) tubing either. I can't identify it exactly but it has a "plasticizer" odor. Silicone tubing has no smell at all.
I checked at the Hagen web site, but they don't say what material it is made of either. Mystery tubing! But it has a nice bendy feeling and does not kink easily. Should last longer than PVC tubing. It does what I need it to do.
