Brass Nameplate GREAT The name plates were shipped quickly. And were easy to attach to collars. The quality is great and I'm sure they will last a long time. May 16, 2013

Quality Product I had purchased these ID plates to use on leather collars with matching leashes over 20 years. I had huge hounds - Black & Tan and English Walker. Later I purchased them for A Saluki and a Bluetick/Corgi mix. I am now getting one for my Bluetick/Cattle dog. These stand the test of time. My saluki is almost 12 and you can still read all the engraving. I polish them up every so often when I clean the leather; especially in spring, It looks so beautiful and the neighbors all admire them. All you need to make them shine is a can of Never Dull wadding polish from any auto parts store. Your dog will look and feel extra special with these brass ID tags no matter what type of colar you use. February 3, 2013

The one I ordered is too wide to even sit on a collar for a dog that size, I cannot imagine if fitting on a round collar since it is flat and attaches with rivets. You may have to stay with tags that hang. You could order one and see. If not use it for something else of hers, like a bag you carry her in.

It's hard to say, but the brass nameplate is 3/8" wide x 2" long. You would want to make sure the plate rested on the back of his neck to avoid as much irritation as possible. I've used them on a leather collar before. I used a piece of pipe or anything round to bend the tag a little to get a curve as the collar would have as the dog weares it. I made one hole in collar and installed one rivet, then molded the collar in the tag curve making sure the collar fits tight against the tag and made the other hole and install rivet. The collar will have the natural curve when installed on dog. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. It is possible to mount the Small Brass Nameplate on either of these two harnesses; the Standard Brass Nameplate is too large. In order to accommodate requests for nameplate attachment, the order would need to be placed by telephone.
