The SeaClone Protein Skimmer efficiently removes organics and wastes from your aquarium. Just hang it on your aquarium or place it in your sump, then let the efficient venturi action of SeaClone's built-in Maxi-Jet 1200 Pump create a froth of powerful cleansing micro-bubbles. The SeaClone system improves skimming efficiency and gas exchange with venturi action. Water and air swirl together in tornado-like motion in the Vortex chamber, rapidly drawing out dissolved wastes. Adjustable water flow and air injection rate means precise control and reliable performance. Convenient design for easier cleaning and maintenance. The SeaClone Protein Skimmer is available in two sizes: SCPS 100 for marine aquariums up to 100 gallons (3-1/2" diameter x 18" high) and SCPS 150 for marine aquariums up to 150 gallons (3-1/2" diameter x 25" high). Please click on "More Information" for assembly instructions and additional features. |
| Turbo-Venturi Injector System mixes filtered water and air in the pump impeller chamber, creating a froth of micro-bubbles for maximum skimming efficiency and improved gas exchange.
Vortex Reaction Chamber swirls air and water up into the smaller "tornado" tube, drawing organic wastes from the water. Concentration Tube propels protein-laden bubbles in the spiraling air/water mixture into the collection tube above. Bubbles then burst, forming a frothy solution that gathers in the collection chamber. Large Capacity Collection Chamber holds dissolved organic compounds, keeping this waste separate from clean water until it can be removed for emptying. Assembly/Operation Instructions Before you begin installation, unpack and inspect all parts. Rinse skimmer body and pump parts that will come into contact with water. Use clean, fresh water - no soap or cleansers of any kind.
Hang-On Installation
STEP 1:
STEP 2:
STEP 3:
STEP 4:
STEP 5:
STEP 6: *For best results, locate the Maxi-Jet Pump at a depth of about 2-3" beneath the aquarium water line.
In-Sump Installation Additional Note: The J-Tube Assembly is not used for in-sump installation.
STEP 1:
STEP 2:
STEP 3:
STEP 4:
STEP 5:
Flow Adjustment To achieve optimal performance, reconnect the top and screw it all the way down (close). Unscrew (open) top approximately 3/4 to 1-1/2 turns depending on pump location and water level. Important adjustment note: Too much or too little air will affect water flow and may cause bubbles to flow back into the aquarium. Minimal periodic adjustments may be needed due to variance in organic loads within the aquarium. NOTE: The SeaClone Protein Skimmer may require a two or three day "break-in" period before significant buildup and collection of proteins and organics occur. If the aquarium is new, it may take even longer. Maintenance

Great skimmer for hang on. I like it so much that I'm moving it to the sump that I'm building. Most bang for the buck by far. |

Awesome skimmer. I can't believe the color of the gunk it takes out of my tank. Simple to put together, and simple to use. |

A great skimmer! It has kept my tank clean and my fish happy since the day I set it up. A skimmer for the beginner to the expert. I highly recommend this SeaClone Protein Skimmer. |

Very precise in its job! Collects a lot of natural organics that cannot be picked up with any filter. |

I have used the smaller skimmer for five years and have found it to be the best skimmer on the market regardless of price. |

The skimmer worked great when I had it hanging on back. Added a sump and moved it there, didn't work so great, so if you are looking for a sump skimmer, I don't recommend it. |

Yup, have this one in my sump. Works great!!! Just make sure if you put it into your sump, the output water is against the wall of your sump. Keeps splashing to a minimum. It is easy to set up and pulls a lot of yellowish, greenish gunk out and creates a colored foam. I recommend this skimmer to anyone. |

Excellent hang-on skimmer, skims alot from my 90gal. I tried it out for my sump and it just didn't seem right... the water from the spout splashed too much so I put it back as a hang-on... to me it works better that way. |

Works great, very powerful. I have it on the back of a 24 gallon reef tank. It will take a couple of tries to set the correct air intake but that is besides the point. This skimmer works well. |
