Great Product with excellent results.
I have been using API phos zorb for close to 5 years now with better than excellent results. I was having this brown growth starting to form all over everything in my tank which was well established and couldn't figure out why. I learned these where diatoms caused by either high phosphate or high nitrate. I did 70% water change every week to keep the nitrates at low levels so it had to be the phosphate. I bought from DR Foster& Smith the complete API fresh water test kit and found there was no Nitrate in my water supply but a considerably high phosphate level. So I tried the API Phos Zorb and literally in days my problem was solved. This product is a God send and works extreimly well. It must be changed every 2 months which is a great time to service the filter as well. Highly recommended if your serious about your water quality.

Exceptional Product - Zero Phosphates!
It has been three weeks since our last water change on our small 40 gallon tank. Typically a reef tank, especially smaller tanks and nanos, will require a 10% change weekly, usually due to phosphates. After a gauntlet of tests this past weekend, everything came up zeros or near zeros, specifically phosphates were zero, necessitating only a light cleaning of our protein skimmer and topping off the water and salt content. This shows how effective this product is. We have been using another brand of crystals in a medium bag and not only was there consistently a small amount of phosphate, but measuring the medium, buying media bags, etc. make phos- zorb a clearly superior product. We will never go back. This prepackaged phosphate medium went straight into the fourth stage of a UV canister filter (after a quick rinse) three weeks ago and hasn't been touched since. Our 40 gallon reef tank thanks phos-zorb for keeping the fish, anemones, shrimp and most importantly the SPS and LPS corals healthy.

Phos Zorb lowers phosphates
I love my freshwater fish - and want to be able to see them. When I realized the slight haze was due to high phosphates (my test kit showed concentration was "off the chart"), I ordered Phos zorb. There isn't enough room in my Rena Filstar3, so I added an AquaClear to the back of the aquarium - a very affordable option. Water is now crystal clear. I like ordering these three at a time - great savings! No one can match the prices - and service - provided by Drs. Foster and Smith.

it works,just not fast
got this to throw in a higflow area of my sump,,it does work just not real fast..drops about .25ppm per wk..it would work to maintain your reef at 0....but if you want it starve the algea blooms in your tank..its gonna take awhile

A specialized, synthetic adsorption filtration media that selectively removes phosphate in fresh and saltwater aquariums, as well as silicate found in tap water. Phos-Zorb effectively removes phosphate and silicate and will not release them back into the water for long-lasting phosphate control. A clean aquarium environment free of excess phosphate means enhanced growth of corals in saltwater aquariums and superior plant growth in freshwater aquariums.
