Silicone Sealer 3 oz 5 5 2 2

This product is easy to apply. It doesn't smell that bad and is inexpensive in price. This product has great durability and cures in two days. Non-toxic to fish. October 1, 2012

Perfect Results I used this product to repair to tanks that had slow leaks in the corners where the original sealant had dried out and peeled off the glass after years in a basement. I cut the old sealant off with a razorblade and applied this. The two tanks are now both in use and holding water just as they should. It's safe for the fish and caused no issues with water chemistry. It is definitely aquarium safe, as advertised. February 5, 2011

i have a 55 gal. tank. It recently cracked and had water slowly running out of it. Will this product work?

Yes, this product should do the trick, but you will need to completely empty your tank of water and let the silicone cure for two days before refilling.

In my experience, cracks are not worth messing with. The crack has compromised the structural integrity of your tank. Cut out the broken side with a sharp knife and take it to a local glass cutter to use as a pattern. You can use the "professional" aquarium silicon that F&S sells to set in the new glass. It is really not difficult to do, and will be much more dependable that a patch job.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this product is not designed to fix cracks in glass or acrylic. If your tank is cracked it would be best to replace the panel if possible or the entire tank. -mar

I have a 265 gallon aquarium that has a leak. I need sealant but all I have found said for small aquariums. Is the best way to fix it would be take the bottom off and redo it??

Attempting to fix a leak in a larger aquarium is very tricky as there is a lot of pressure exerted on the glass because of the water & therefore should only be attempted by a professional.
