Kent Marine AquaDose

Aquarium delivery system uses gravity to dispense kalkwasser or other aquarium additives. Simply add the desired liquid supplement or additive to the AquaDose and suspend over aquarium for automated supplementation. No electricity or additional equipment is required. Adjustable delivery method to ensure additives are dispensed at the appropriate rate. Graduation marks on the side makes monitoring supplementation easy and accurate. Larger AquaDose may also be used as an automatic drip top-off system.

The Kent Marine AquaDose relies on gravity siphon to function. This means that the unit has to be placed above the area you are dosing. This could be behind the aquarium or within the stand. It is up to the user to determine the appropriate location while keeping the previously stated precautions in mind.

Installation

Installation Behind the Aquarium
Find a suitable location where the AquaDose can hang without interfering with the general operation of the aquarium. Locate a wall stud. Drive a nail or hook into the stud. Be sure that the nail or hook is able to support the weight of a full unit.

Aquarium Stand Installation
Find a suitable location within the stand to mount the unit where it will not interfere with the normal operation of the aquarium. This location needs to be out of the way but still easily accessible. Attach a nail or screw to a support beam, making sure not to penetrate the other side of the beam. This could permanently damage the aquarium or stand. Take great care in selecting the proper beam as well as the appropriately sized mounting fastener.

Mixing Instructions

• Turn Flow Regulator so it cuts off all flow.
• Fill the unit half full with water.
• Add the amount of supplement you will use in one week to the water. For example, If the manufacturer recommends one capful per week, then add one capful to the AquaDose unit.
• If desired, add other supplements as directed by the manufacture. Make sure the supplements are compatible.
• Fill the remainder of the unit with water.

Dosing Directions
Use only aquarium additives and follow manufacture's instructions and recommended dosage.

1. Close the Flow Regulator by turning the Adjustment Wheel.
2. Fill container to desired fluid level and close screw-top cap.
3. Turn screw-top cap 1/4 turn counterclockwise to vent.
4. Slowly turn Adjustment Wheel to begin dosing. Adjust to desired flow rate.

To Dose: Place end of the dosing tube in the aquarium or sump area and slowly turn the Adjustment Wheel on the Flow Regulator to increase or decrease flow. Use the Drip Counter to measure the drip rate.

1 drop every 43 seconds will deliver 200 ml of solution per day (50 drips = 5 ml)

After each dosing cycle, move the Flow Regulator (Roller Clamp) to a different area on the tube. This will prevent wear to the tubing and extend the life of the unit.

To Dose Kalkwasser: Always mix kalkwasser in a different container (as directed). Allow the kalkwasser to settle completely before proceeding. Add only the clear calcareous water to the AquaDose unit. DO NOT add the precipitate. Set drip rate in about 24 hours.

After Installation: Check unit for leakage on a frequent basis. The Kent Marine AquaDose should be replaced every six months to ensure proper performance.
