Ocean Clear In-Line Filters

Ocean Clear Canister Filters bring your large freshwater or saltwater aquarium a wide range of filtration options - mechanical, chemical, and/or biological. They're also perfect for small ponds! Advanced design and professional-grade components make cleaning and maintenance quick, easy, and convenient. All models include both 3/4" and 1" hose adapters.

Ocean Clear Filter Model Descriptions

Model 340 Canister Filter

Includes a reusable 25-micron cartridge with 40 sq. ft. of surface area; 50 sq. ft. of Polystranded Bio-Core in the cartridge center for biological filtration; built-in pressure gauge; drain valve; Teflon tape; a clear housing; and removable lid for easy maintenance. Handles tanks from 100-266 gallons and requires a 800-1600 gph pump. Canister measures approx. 11" dia. x 11" H.

Models 375 and 380 - Multi-function UV Sterilizers

Centered around an 18-watt UV sterilizer, these filters are ideal for use in aquariums up to 1,000 gallons to effectively kill free-floating bacteria and algae. Both are modular in design and can be used in-line with other filters. The 375 UV is surrounded with a 25-micron spun-bound polyester filter cartridge for mechanical filtration, providing polished, filtered water. The 380 UV adds 154 square feet of polystrand material around the UV sterilizer for superior micro filtration. Both models measure 11" dia. x 11" H.

The Ocean Clear Filter unit includes the following components:

Filter body, lid, and gray thread ring
Filter media according to model
Parts pack - drain valve with garden hose thread outlet, 3/4" and 1" straight and elbow hose adapters, 5" piece of 3/4" inside diameter vinyl tubing, 2 speedy clamps, vent plug for lid, 1/4" pipe plug Pressure gauge (for models 317, 325, 340, and 375)
Model 354 also includes a valve system in two sections
Model 375 and 380 UV Kit includes a base plate, middle pipe, quartz sleeve, transformer, and UV lamp
Instruction Manual and product registration card

The following additional equipment is required to operate and install the Ocean Clear filter: Roll of Teflon tape, flexible tubing, water pump.

I would recommend the Ocean Clear In-Line Filter to anyone who is thinking about a larger aquarium. I have a 150 gallon reef aquarium, and once I installed the Ocean Clear In-Line after my sump, I have not had to clean the walls of my aquarium in over a week.
