Petromalt aids in the prevention and elimination of hairballs and their symptoms, including constipation, dry cough, and vomiting. Feed directly to your cat. Do not mix with cat's food. Withhold food two hours before and after Petromalt is given to your cat. Offer it either from your finger or by placing on cat's front paw, where it can be licked off readily. Malt flavored. For cats and kittens over 4 weeks old.
Petromalt Dosage: For existing hairballs: Feed a one-half inch strip orally for each 2 kg (4.4 lbs) of body weight, once daily for 3-4 days. To prevent hairballs: Give a one-half inch strip orally per 2 kg (4.4 lbs) of body weight, 1 to 2 times per week. Brush coat frequently.

I recommend Petromalt malt flavor hairball remedy, I've been giving it to my cats for years. They like the flavor so much that they will lick it right off of my finger and it reduces hairballs considerably.
We love the Petromalt brand of hairball remedy. Both of our cats will many times try to eat it right from the tube before we can get it on our finger! I like this brand, because it also does not have all the additional sugars and syrups (besides the malt) that so many brands of hairball pastes add. I am not sure why they need them, since it is humans that find sweets appealing, not our kitties! Less additives make for a better product for our beloved pets.
