This product works great keeping dogs off furniture also.
We bought the pet mats to keep our Labs off the furniture. After a few days we no longer needed to turn them on, just laying them on the chair and sofa is all that is necessary. This is the second set we have purchased, it will help protect the new furniture downstairs.

This definitely works
My cats have learned to avoid any place they see the black mat; it only took one step and they don't go back. I have several of these mats and highly recommend them.

really works
I had cat peeing problems on my couch and bed until I used this mat on each. My cats don't go near either one because the mat really emits a loud sound. Finally I found something that works!

Saved my couch...and sanity.
After a recent move my cat started urinating on my couch while I was away at work...often more than once. I finally had to get a new couch, but was afraid to bring it home without a hopefully fail-safe solution to the urinating problem. The Sofa Scram mat has been amazing. He hasn't urinated on my couch once since I started using it...I can breathe easy leaving him alone again :)
