Iris Litter Pan Open Top
The pans are deep and the extra height of the sides helps cut down on accidents. Because the top is open the cats don't feel trapped. We are using them in our motorhome.

CAT BOX SYSTEM
I HAD PURCASED THE CAT BOX /WASHROOM FURNITURE,IT IS VERY NICE BUT WITH REGULAR CATBOX THERE WAS RUN OVER AND MADE A MESS, HAD TO TAKE ALL APART AS URINE RAN THROUGH THE WOOD AND ONTO FLOOR. I PURCHASED THIS HIGHSIDE AND IT IS TALL ENOUGH TO KEEP KITTY INSIDE , YET SHORT ENOUGH SO KITTY CAN STILL GET IN DOOR.

I bought the "Open Top w/Shield" version. Kitty likes it, and the high shield does help prevent spilling. Good design and size. I have two cats. They each have their own litter box.
The only reason I did not give 5 stars is:
For those of us who use liners, it would have been helpful to have TWO "clamps" (instead of one) on each side to hold the shield and thus hold the liner securely in place. Just like the "All-in-one" litter box (large), which works great for my other cat.

I think this is a great concept, but the design of the box has a serious flaw. On either side of the "entrance" the box is shaped with a corner "notch" instead of being a smooth curve. If your cat does its thing in the center of the box, there's no problem. My cat prefers to pee near the sides, so the litter forms clumps next to the plastic sides. When she does it in those corners next to the entrance, it is not possible to scoop the clump out. So I can't clean it out until/unless it's time to completely change the litter, and that's very difficult as well. I've found the only way to really clean out those corners is to use the garden hose at high pressure to force the dirty litter out. In its present design, it just isn't convenient or usable. I hope the design flaw can be fixed, because the concept is great.
