They say to use this spray every two days, but I've found that it only keeps my bird from chewing his feathers if I use it every day. I tasted it -- it's definitely bitter! But it doesn't make my bird smell bad at all, which is great. Hopefully by his next molt, my bird will have gotten out of the chewing habit!

My female lovebird had lost most of her neck feathers after her mate started aggressively grooming her. This was not like normal moulting. Replaced the bird protector cartridge thinking mites were bothering her. That didn't help. Purchased this bird spray next. The birds DO NOT like to be sprayed with anything I did it anyway, every 2 or 3 days. New feathers are now growing in and the pucking seems to have stopped. Need to see if this good trend continues but for now the bird spray seems effective.

I have a rescued cockato who is in my care to undergo social and medical therapy. He has no feathers and nasty dry skin. I bought a variety of sprays to see if any of them provided a remedy for his skin and nala berry is definately a good one!
