I live with three cats. The two youngest love this toy. My third cat is eight years old and normally a sweet, gentle, cat. However, after the encounter with this toy, she may need therapy.
I took my eight year old into the bedroom, set the toy down, and poked the mouse though the slot. The rest was a blur. I’m not positive but I think I may have actually witnessed my cat flying. When she landed it was on top of the whack a mouse box. The next thing I knew this sweet little cat dragged the box and mouse under the bed so she could ‘kill’ it at her leisure. I tried to take it back and, for the first time ever, she growled at me. I heeded the warning and gave her a few minutes. When I finally got the toy back the mouse was missing half its tail, both eyes and one ear. I was sitting on the floor laughing about the whole thing when suddenly, out of nowhere, she flew past me and again landed on top of the box. She dragged the whole thing under the bed for round two. As I write this, I am sitting on the bed and can hear the unmistakable sound of her ‘killing’ her prey. Not sure what it is about this toy that makes her want to drag it off and kill it, but she’s having a blast doing it. Worth every penny, even if what she’s doing to it is weird and may indicate that a certain kitty is in need of therapy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AceMaxwell Useful and good value
I definitely like this product overall. It's simple and easy to use, and it gives me a good opportunity to interact with my cat. The unpredictability of the mouse popping-up out of nowhere is fun for my cat. It would be nice to see someone make a mechanical, powered whack-a-mouse toy, so my cat could enjoy it when I'm not around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by calendula Well made and durable
My cats loved this well made box complete with mouse wand but preferred the side with the cat paw holes to the multi on the reverse of the box. They become bored easily with toys so holding their interest for 3 minutes was a record! Then they moved on but liked playing again after a minute or two.
