Just got the lighting 2 days ago and so far I love it!
I need a few weeks to see how my plants and fish react for a proper review but until then this first impression review is the best I can do.
The 5 spectrums of light are clearly represented and thoroughly intertwined to give even lighting of all 5 ranges to every area of the tank.
I was worried the night light would be to bright (located in my family/TV room) and draw unwanted attention but with the 48" Fluval fixture on my acrylic bowfront aquarium (72g) that is also 48", the light is perfect...for the room size, in a smaller bedroom setting...not sure.
I also have two Marineland color-changing LED bubble wands (20" each) in the back of my aquarium
The overall "look" of this lighting system is freaking amazing. Compared to a dual fluorescent I have on another 75g tank, the Fluval LED is noticeably superior, I lack the words to describe why (that fit in this review comment section) but there are videos online already if you search. I do like my dual fluorescent allot. I just got it a year ago... but I plan to replace it when the next bulb goes and get another of these Fluval LED lights.
The fixture itself is very light weight and slim. Seems to be built well. Side sliders could fit more snugly. So far has emitted almost no heat but only had it 2 days.
I will take Fluval's word that it is water proof, others can test that!
Will edit or repost an updated review once I have had this light for at least 2 or 3 weeks and can judge how my plants and I respond over time.
But for now, I am highly impressed.

This light is awesome for the price.
It's strong, sealed, and beautiful. The spectrum is technically correct and it does not overpower the tank at night. Someone did there homework on this one. It could be improved by making it dimmable, but I'll bet there is a way...
