Provide a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals to help maintain your horse's healthy coat and strong hoof walls. Nutri-Vet Hoof & Coat apple and molasses flavored pellets for horses are recommended prior and during competition, stress to hoof wall, soft hooves, pregnancy, poor diet, poor haircoat or excess shedding. This product is for all classes of horses. It contains a full 8.3% of protein per ounce, and includes the two amino acids and biotin to help support normal hoof walls. These delicious pellets also contain the antioxidants Vitamin A, zinc, and selenium to support immune system health. Zinc also supports healthy keratin development in the hoof wall. Easy to top dress in your horse's daily feed, these pellets have a scrumptious apple/molasses flavor. 1-ounce scoop included.
Suggested Use: Serve 1 ounce per 1,000 lb horse per day with regular grain ration.

About the Hoof Wall
Remember that the hoof wall, like a fingernail, grows very slowly - at the rate of about three-eighths to one-half inch per month. New growth occurs at the coronet (the junction between the skin and the hoof wall). It can, therefore, take up to 12 months for the healthy new growth to reach the bottom of the hoof. This means supplements may take weeks or months to show results on the hoof, but you should see improvement in your horse's skin and coat within a few weeks. |
