needed help asap
I was starting a large fish tank 650 gallons and I had 100 large koi
$1000s of dollars worth, I was aware of the amonia and nitrite spike in a startup but...I contacted Drs Foster and Smith for a product.
The person answering the phone immediately got me the right info
and the right product, it was shipped standard freight but arrived in 2 days. I used the product as directed and have had wonderful sucess.
Everything about this company is top notch, when I need products again, I won't hesitate calling.

Works great!
Ok so here is my story.. I ordered this Nitrifying Bacteria, a aqueon 30 power filter and a hydor heater for a 10 gallon saltwater quarantine setup. I have had a yellow tang in a 20 gallon quarantine for about 3 weeks with the same filter that is doing well. I needed to setup the 10 gallon so that I can move the yellow tang to that one to make room for new fish to go into the 20 gallon because the yellow tang is almost done with quarantine. All i did was setup the 10 gallon with fresh new heated saltwater got the filter and heater going then three days later took the filter pad out the 20 and put it in the filter on the 10 gallon and dumped in some of the Nitrifying Bacteria. Two hours later acclimated the yellow tang to the 10 gallon then put it in. Its been 6 days and I been checking the ammonia twice a day and have only see a very small amount the first day then it was at zero and has been. I even added 3 medium green chromis the day after adding the tang. Everything is doing great. Everything is eating well and seems happy.

Great Product
This is a very easy product to use! The directions are easy to understand and measuring is a sinch. It's safe for all of our marine fish, corals and inverterbrates. I've noticed once we started using this product I've seen more tiny starfish and soft snails on our live rocks at night.
We use this product when we do our water change in our 75 gallon aquarium. We have always added in vitimans and pH/KH hardner which allow our inhabitants to thrive and by adding in this product our aquarium is even more balanced and stable, our fish, invertabrates and corals seem very happy. Their colors are vibrant, the fish are active and they are able to fight off ich without treatment (Powder Brown Tang). They are all growing beautifully!

I recommend this product for new/used salt water tanks.
This is the first time I have used this product and I recommend for others to use this product. I recently purchased a 150 gallon tank that had been running for ten years, with 200 lbs of live rock. I used ro/di water with this product and everything seems to be fine.
