pH -balanced - will not sting when applied
|
Do you ever wish you could soothe your horse's red, irritated eyes and make him feel better? Vetericyn Eye Wash is an innovative topical solution for the care of irritated eyes caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi. Use to clean and relieve eyes affected by burning, stinging, itching, pollutants, contaminants, wounds, infections, and irritations. Also helpful for cleansing and removing debris. This steroid-free, antibiotic-free, no-rinse solution is nontoxic and made of compounds similar to those produced by the animal's own body, Vetericyn will not harm healthy tissue. Vetericyn is pH-neutral and will not sting when applied. This product, in solution, kills 99.999% of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores including E.coli, Staph (MRSA), Strep, Moraxella bovis, Pasteurella, Actinomyces and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Tests free for competitive animals. Vetericyn Ophthalmic Gel is an easy to use hydrogel - simply place a stripe in eyes to soothe and clean, no rinsing required. Both come in a convenient squeeze bottle with nozzle, and are safe for use around mouth, nose, ears, and eyes. For dogs, cats, horses, birds, and small pets.
Directions for Use: Adjust dropper nozzle. Flush affected eyes gently with Vetericyn. If dressing is required, saturated dressing with Vetericyn at each dressing change. Repeat 3 to 4 times per day until condition is no longer visible. No rinsing necessary. Safe for use around mouth, nose, ears and eyes.

Chemistry of Vetericyn
The active-ingredient in all Vetericyn products is Hypochlorous acid (HOCl - also known as hydrogen hypochlorite). In some products, sodium hypochlorite is used in trace amounts as a preservative. The pH of Vetericyn is manufactured in the appropriate physiological range, unlike Dakin's Solution, a diluted bleach with sodium bicarbonate, which has a pH > 11 (neutral pH is 7 - below 7 is acidic, while above that is alkaline). At an appropriate physiological pH, diluted bleach is unstable and has limited efficacy as an antimicrobial. Laboratory tests show that in solution, Vetericyn is up to 70X more effective against bacterial than diluted bleach, yet is 100% nontoxic.
