• Make sure your SockitBox is complete with two handles (one on either side of the box).
• Before clamping the lid closed, make sure the SockitBox is totally dry inside to prevent moisture being trapped inside.
• To increase the sealing effect of the SockitBox, it is recommended to use the 11 Retaining Lugs on the Lid by clipping them under the Lip of the main box.
• Make sure the SockitBox is placed so it cannot tip over and the lid is facing upwards.

Manufacturer's Warnings
When connecting multiple appliances to a multi-plug power cord within the SockitBox, make sure the total power drawn does not exceed the recommended maximum of the products you are using. Seek expert-advise if you are in doubt.

• The SockitBox is designed for temporary electrical connections only. Transformers are warm when in use. Sealing too many within the Sockit Box can increase their operating temperature.
• Do not overfill the SockitBox. I.e. placing strain on the clamp mechanism. This can break the water-tight seal created by the gasket.
• Do not place more than one cable in each port to avoid breaking the seal.
• Manufacturer advises any product used in the Sockit Box is UL/CSA approved for outdoor use.
• A GFCI is recommended to be used from the main electrical supply.
• Do not bury this product. Use the SockitBox on surfaces.
• Install the cables and appliances per manufacturer's instructions.
• Do not over bend or over stretch any wires within the SockitBox to avoid crimping, which could lead to a possible short or spark.
• Do not submerge the SockitBox underwater.
• The SockitBox is not intended for permanent installations.
• Do not stand in water while plugging in electrical devices.
• Do not touch sparking wires or connections.
• Turn off the main power switch before handling connections in wet areas.
• Turn off main power switch before connecting any electrical devices in the SockitBox.
• When in use, please make sure the SockitBox is facing up with the label showing. If the SockitBox is required to be mounted, make sure it is securely fixed with the lid facing upwards. Do not drill or puncture the product. Check back regularly to make sure the SockitBox is securely fastened.
