Pet N Place

Now you can train and reinforce good behavior while protecting children and pets. Pet N Place is the perfect indoor training aid for teaching your dog to settle down and be under control. The minute you see his calm behavior, be sure to praise and reward your pet.

To use, simply fill the high quality polypropylene tote bag with any convenient weighting device, like rocks or sand. Comes with a 6 ft leash which attaches to the Pet N Place tote bag on one side and your animal's flat buckle, D-ring or martingale collar on the other. The length of the leash is restricted, encouraging your pet to sit or lie down in a specific area. Pet N Place helps prevent destructive behavior because the animal has limited access to enticing items to chew or scratch.

Pet N Place is also very easy to use outdoors, eliminating hassle with screw-in anchor systems. Use directly outside the home, on a porch or deck, so your pet does not feel isolated or abandoned. Approximately 16.5" x 15" x 4" high.

Simply fill your Pet N Place tote bag with any convenient weighting objects like sand, books, or even rocks; whatever is handy and safe to create a weighted resistance to limit your animal's ability to roam freely due to the weight of the tote bag. Make sure you have a sufficient amount of weight in the Pet N Place tote bag to prevent your pet from moving or dragging freely.

While determining an area to place your pet, consider a room where the family frequently congregates. Position your Pet N Place at a safe distance from electrical cords, outlets, or anything you want to keep your pet from damaging; about 3 feet works well. Multiple locations can be set up so your pet can be moved when you change rooms.

Be sure your animal is using a high quality collar with a D-ring. DO NOT use a training collar such as a choke collar, head halter, or prong collar, while your animal is set up with the Pet N Place. Consider putting down a comfortable mat or blanket for your pet's comfort.

To start, fasten your pet to the Pet N Place several times a day, for five to ten minutes.

To help make the chosen Pet N Place area agreeable to your pet, give it a favorite chew toy. Slowly extend the length of time your pet is using the Pet N Place.

Vary the length of time your pet is using Pet N Place so the pet learns to be patient. A pet should initially receive a reward each time it is hitched to the Pet N Place. After several times, give your pet a treat only when their behavior is calm and quiet. If your dog barks while it is hitched, leave the room, returning when they have calmed down. It is important NOT to reward undesirable behavior.

Praise and reward calm, quiet behavior. Be sure to reward your animal when it exhibits calm behavior and responds to your "sit" or "lay-down" command.

When taking your pet off the Pet N Place, end the activity with a "release" cue.

Important Guidelines

• Only use with a flat buckle, D-ring or martingale collar
• Only use when a human is present to monitor pet's activities
• Never use as a punishment, or for managing aggressive or dangerous behavior
• Always offer a reward of a treat or affection, for good conduct on the Pet 'n Place.
• Never allow others to interfere with your animal while the Pet N Place is in use.
