Delivers ultra-smooth cut in both its high (3,300) and low (2,900) speeds

Outlaw Clipper is designed to handle everything from heavy-duty all over body clipping to precision trimming around the face, ears and legs - on any coat type. Ideal for horses, cattle and other large animals. Outlaw's lightweight, ergonomic housing prevents hand fatigue and runs quieter and cooler, to keep your pet calm and comfortable during grooming. Outlaw is also vent free to prevent hair from blowing as you clip. Outlaw features a rotary motor that delivers an ultra-smooth cut in each of its two speeds (2,900/3,300). To change speeds, simply flip the switch at the base of the clipper. Includes two blades: #15 for the face and legs and #10 Wide for coarse clipping. Uses
Cryogen-X blades. Watch the step-by-step instructional DVD and soon you'll be clipping like the pros!
Clipper Kit includes: 2-Speed Clipper, cleaning brush, blade oil, mane & tail comb, #10 Wide & #15 blades, step-by-step DVD, instruction manual, and storage case.

Operating Instructions
Use on voltage specified on appliance. This appliance has been made with extreme care. It has been thoroughly tested and inspected at every stage of its manufacture and assembly. As with most precision instruments, that last polish on the running parts which bear upon each other comes only after a period of "breaking in" - in this case 4 to 6 weeks. If the speed of the motor varies (indicated by a change in its sound), it is normally the result of a change in the position of the appliance or a fluctuation in your line of voltage. When the appliance is lubricated in accordance with instructions, it will deliver ample power and speed for professional haircutting requirements.
Greasing the Clipper
Over-greasing can cause leakage and reduce the operating efficiency of the clipper. Check once a month by removing metal nameplate with supplied hex wrench. Insert grease into area between drive lever and motor shaft. Do not fill cavity with grease. ADD VERY LITTLE GREASE AND ONLY WHEN NECESSARY. This grease is required in double insulated clippers and recommended in all of the Oster clippers because of its insulating properties.
Carbon Brushes
Brushes must be inspected and replaced periodically to insure maximum motor performance and life expectancy. UNPLUG THE CLIPPER FROM THE POWER OUTLET TO PREVENT AN ELECTRIC SHOCK WHEN INSPECTING OR REPLACING BRUSHES. To remove a brush on models with a SLOTTED BRUSH CAP, unscrew the brush cap (a dime is an excellent tool for this) and remove the nylon insulator cap. Remove the brass cap by applying a slight pressure to the side of the cap with a fingernail in a picking fashion. Remove the brush and spring assembly and compare the length of the round and square sections of the brush. When the square section has been reduced to the length of the round section, the brush must be replaced to prevent possible damage to the motor armature. Always replace the brushes as a set of 2 brushes even though only one may be at or below the required length. When reinstalling the brush, make certain that the sharp corners on the brush are aligned with the triangular notches in the brass cap and then the nylon cap over the brush spring and pressing down to seat the brass cap into the brush tube. Replace the slotted outer cap and screw down tightly to prevent loosening.
Use Oster Brushes
Avoid substitutes. Brushes used in electric motors are carefully selected for size and grade to obtain maximum, trouble free performance. When ordering carbon brushes, specify model number and voltage of clipper.
Blade Sharpening
Oster cutting blades are of individual hollow-ground design, hardened to extend cutting life. As with any cutting instrument, the cutting edges will become dull with usage. Increasing blade tension to force dull blades to cut can cause the clipper to heat and reduce motor life, and further shorten blade life. When the cutting blades no longer cut smooth and clean, sharpening is necessary.
When sharpening blades becomes necessary, send blades to an Authorized Service Center (see service manual for listings) where approved methods, equipment and proper knowledge are used to restore the original hollow-ground design and best cutting ability. Sharpening blades by flat grinding or any method contrary to the design and construction of Oster cutting blades is not recommended.
Removing or Replacing Blades
To Remove: IMPORTANT - stop motor; lift blade away from clipper and slide off tongue.
To Replace: turn motor on; insert blade on tongue fully and then snap blade into place.
Oiling and Cleaning Blades
Apply Oster Premium Lubricating Oil on blades several times daily to maintain a light film of oil on mating faces of the blades and tension spring guide. To clean, we recommend - turn appliance on and submerge the cutting blades in Oster Blade Wash cleaner. Wipe the outside surfaces of the blade with a dry, clean cloth and begin clipping again. If after cleaning with Oster Blade Wash, your blade still does not cut properly, it is possible that a very fine hair did not wash out from between the blades. If this is the case, it is necessary to remove the blade set from the clipper. Then without loosening tension spring screws, slide the upper blade to one side, but not completely out from under tension spring and wipe the mating surface clean. Place a drop of oil on the mating surfaces and in the tension spring guide slot. Slide upper blade to the other side and repeat process. Slide the upper blade back into position and reassemble on the clipper. Then with the clipper running, lubricate the blades with a light coat of Oster Kool-Lube lubricant or a drop or two of Oster Premium Lubricating Oil.
Maintenance and Storage
NOTE: Any other maintenance not explained in this manual should be performed by an Authorized Service Center. To store unit, coil and secure cord and place in original carton. |
| Compare Shampoos & Conditioners | | Bathing and grooming your horse can seem like a chore. But by choosing the correct shampoo, conditioner, or detangler for your needs, bathes can both allow you to easily clean and bond with your horse. |
| | Compare Clippers & Trimmers | | Electric equine clippers and trimmers are must-have tools if you plan on doing your own horse grooming. In general, use clippers for entire body grooming. Use trimmers for precision trimming around the face, ears, hooves, and tail of your horse. |

| | Clipping & Grooming FAQ's | | Leaving a thick winter coat on your horse may be doing more harm than good, especially if he spends most of the season stabled. Thick coats heat up quickly, causing excessive sweating, and they dry slowly, making the horse damp and chilled. |
