These are the only sinking algae wafers that sink all the time. Also overall great value.

I believe in variety and lots of it for my fish. I ordered it for my bristlenose but now my SAEs come down to chow on these and my 2 adult Synodontis eupterus grab them and make off with there own wafer each!!

My fish love these new Cobalt Algae Wafers. Up until I purchased these, there was only one brand they liked (and that brand is not available on Drs. Foster and Smith). These are larger than the other brand, so I break them up making them easier for my Silver Dollars and Tinfoil barb to catch. They grab them up before they touch the bottom. My bottom feeders like them, too. My featherfin catfish doesn't wait till lights out to eat now - he wants to make sure he gets some of these algae wafers. I feel these are better nutrition for my fish (after comparing labels/ingredients). These wafers are enhanced with immunostimulants and high levels of vitamin C to strengthen their immune system - a nice bonus.

Until I tried these Cobalt Algae Wafers, my tinfoil barb would only eat one brand (not available here). My Silver Dollars and tinfoil barb love these! They don't leave much for the bottom feeders (although the bottom feeders are well fed with other foods). They snatch these up before they drop to the bottom. These are bigger than the other brand, so I break them into three pieces before dropping them in - easier for the silver dollars to pick up. The silver dollars feed the tinfoil barb (the barb is a big fish - about 12" long). It is quite comical to watch them. They did it on purpose when he was recovering from injuries a while back - and he has gotten used to begin fed by them. Now they play a game of "keep-away" -- they want to the tinfoil barb to find his own food now. I have some unopened canisters of the other brand, but was so happy with the Cobalt Spirulina flakes, that I wanted to try these, too. Glad I did. My featherfin catfish likes them, too. I feel the fish are getting better nutrition with the Cobalt wafers, plus I like the benefits of additives that boost their immune system. Some of my silver dollars are six years old - and very healthy. Cobalt foods may keep them happy and healthy for many more years.
