For optimum results, AquaBella recommends following these steps:
Prior to using the first packet of the AquaBella system, perform a regular thorough maintenance on your fish tank:
Clean or change the filter pads in your water filter
Do your last water change
Vacuum as much organic material out of the gravel or live rock as possible
Directions for Use
AquaBella Organic Solutions has designed a unique system. Each tube is individually labeled. This system comes with 5 tubes: DAY 1, DAY 2, DAY 3, DAY 90, and BOOSTER.
DAY 1, DAY 2 and DAY 3 will need to be used in three consecutive days. The tube labeled "DAY 90" will need to be applied 90 days after the start of the treatment, followed by the "BOOSTER" tube at 180 days after starting the system.
There is no need for mixing or measuring. Just add AquaBella directly to the water. Note that it can take up to 7-14 days before the system becomes fully activated.
For older, well-established aquariums, a slight clouding in the water can be expected the first week after application as the existing bio-mass (fish waste and uneaten food) is metabolized and the de-nitrification cycle has started. At this stage, one can expect a brief spiking of Nitrates and Nitrites, but these spikes are at levels that will not harm the fish. If slight clouding is observed in newer tanks, not to worry, nitrogen was already in the tank and it is being eliminated.
Notes:
AquaBella is neither designed for nor is it intended to "fix" water problems like algae blooms, or cloudy water. It is intended to maintain crystal-clear water, while controlling Ammonia Nitrate and Nitrite levels for optimum fish health.
Do not use chlorine: Since chlorine kills the bacteria in AquaBella, it is advised that distilled or RO water be used when topping your aquarium.
If you do not want to change the aquarium water prior to applying AquaBella, you can use the AquaBella Bio Enzyme system immediately. However, it will take longer for the water to clear and for the formula to take effect. It is important to change or clean the filters before applying AquaBella.
Handling and Storage
Wash hands after use. If eye irritation occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes. DO NOT take internally. Keep out of reach of children. Do not reuse tubes for any other purpose. Please recycle after use. Store at Room Temperature. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Shelf Life - 24 months.
Bacterial additives establish a healthy population of beneficial bacteria that efficiently break down ammonia into nitrite and then to nitrate. The use of bacterial additives is most commonly associated with the initial set up of an aquarium.
