Tetra Parasite Guard

Clear internal and external parasites from aquarium fish the fast and easy way. Tetra Parasite Guard is a fast-dissolving fizz tablet that eliminates the need for scooping or measuring powder or liquid medication. Parasite Guard removes external and internal parasites including flukes, internal worms, lice, anchor worm and flagellates such as hexemita or spironucleus associated with hole-in-the-head disease. Also protects freshwater tropical aquarium fish against secondary infections. Works without the need to raise aquarium water temperature. For freshwater aquariums. Eight tablets. Treats up to 80 gallon aquariums.

Active Ingredients: Praziquantel, Dflubenzuron, Metronidazole and Acriflavin.

Note: Not for use in aquariums housing ornamental crustaceans such as shrimp and crabs.

Note: For aquariums 40 gallons or larger and for soft water and/or acid water with low alkalinity, dissolve tablets before adding to aquarium. Remove carbon from filter during use. Treatment may be repeated up to two times with 48 hours between treatments and a 25% water change. For anchor worms and lice, repeat treatment up to three times using once a week with a 25% water change.

Symptoms of Parasites
Internal Parasites - Fish are thin, weak, listless; swim aimlessly, dart wildly, have spasms or mucus at gills.
External Parasites - Fins closed, held close to body. Fish scrapes against objects; red spots on fins; gill hang partially open, pump quickly; tiny lumps moving slowly on skin/fin; small, black specks on skin or threadlike worms hang from body.
