Floating Pond Decoy: Gator
Extremely realistic looking
I am using them to keep the ducks away from my pool. So far, it seems to be working. The crocs look very realistic. They startle and amuse anyone who comes to our house!

so far so good
I have fishing line up to keep the herons away from my pond and even though that seems to keep them away for the most part though still got a fish one day. I wanted something that would work and not have to have fishing line up or netting to protect my fish. I have saw three herons all on the same day doing a fly over but either they saw the gators or were not hungry. I have had no unwanted visitors so far early in the season but will add another review if it does not work. I am taking down the fishing line and trusting my gators to do their job so far I am very pleased and the gators look so realistic it made me jump at first when I was not use to them being there. I have the gator and gator jr. and have attached pictures of both in my ponds.

We now have 2 of these realistic gators floating in our koi pond. We've tried every other product available to deter blue herons from taking koi from our pond. There's no way to know for sure if they're working, but we have seen the heron sitting on our roof or on a phone pole just staring at the pond. Hopefully, the heron will continue to keep their distance and eventually decide to go elsewhere for their meals.

Gator Pond Decoy
The Gator works great. A low cost alternative to many expensive things that do not work. This gator head seems to keep all of the birds away so far. One of the big advantages to this type of decoy, is that it is constantly moving. I tied fishing line and a weight to the bottom that allows it to move around in the pond but not get stuck in a corner. An added bonus is it keeps the kids from going near the pond and throwing things in it. Have not had it long enough to see how the color will hold up over time in the sun.
