Rated 5 out of 5 by Vertigo Holding up fine after 1 year baking heat
My tubing is exposed to baking afternoon sun in the 100F heat of California's Central Valley. It has been one year now and the tubing is holding up very well.
I have 2 tubings in separate ponds and I have had no problems. I use them with a TetraPond external biomechanical filter.

by Gardengirl2015 Corrugated tubing
This product is of good quality. The tubing was less expensive than at my local home improvement store.
The tubing is quite pliable and easy to cut and use.

Good product. Wish it was a little easier to know what size for Pondmaster 1000. Would like to be able just pick rather than measure. Also if they sold it with the screw on nut that attaches to Pondmaster that would be great. That is what I really wanted product for

I have been using corrugated tubing for about 6 years now and have had the same problems from can't get it to fit the adapter to splitting. I believe it works better in a cool climate than hot but with a little effort, as I did, you can make this product work. Lets start with getting tubing on your connector, to make tubing a little more flexable, hair dryer or heat gun will do the trick but DON'T OVERHEAT tubing, just get it flexible to slide onto adapter! Problem solved! Now, why does the plastic split, more than likely it is heat! I buried my tubing in the dirt and small pebble rock, which ever I needed to do to keep it from the sun! Doesn't have to be deep or if you have a long straight area you can run it through PVC, splice your tubing from ie, pump or filter so if you have to replace the split tubing you only have a small piece to replace! If you leave your pumps in the cold weather with the tubing connected, the tubing will get brittle in 2-3 yrs. Hope this helps and creates more ideas!
