Not Just A Nest
These little thatched huts aren't necessarily just for finches. I use them as foraging opportunities for my bigger birds. I insert an almond or treat inside and let them dig around to find it. Then, some birds love to tear them up as a shredding toy. Those two activities make this "nest" a great item to have around.

Exotic Second Home For My Birds
I think this little hut is so cute - and apparently so do my birds! They have a regular nest in their cage, but we put this one in and they took to it immediately! This little nest has so much more pizzaz than the other one. I guess the birds don't really care, but I think it's very cute to think of them living in an exotic new house :)

Great for foraging!
I know this item is intended as a nest for small birds. However, I stuffed it full of shredded paper, seed mix and whole grain Goldfish crackers for my red-bellied parrot. He started in on it right away. Now, I have another one I'll prepare in the same way for my Hawk-head. Highly recommended!

Alot of Privacy.
At this moment, our two African Silver Bills are using the beige mini-hut.
The opening is room enough for the two to enter and exit. They have plenty of room to add nesting material. They enjoy it.
In the other cage, the Society Finches have a choice between both of the mini- huts. They finally picked the smaller one. At this time, an egg is in there. They are taking turns daily and at night, join each other.
