4 Qt All Weather Feeder

Say goodbye to wet, moldy seed - even after heavy rain, sleet, or snow. The All Weather Feeder keeps out inclement weather better than any other feeder we offer, so your seed stays dry. Durable, clearview feeder boasts a leak-proof roof and covered feeding port to prevent seed from getting wet, even if rain or snow are blowing horizontally. Seed ports won't clog up with ice and snow, and you won't have to remove any wet, moldy seed. Birds sit on the circular perch and reach up under the covered feeding port to pull out seed from a weatherproof circular slot.

Perch accommodates multiple birds and doubles as a seed tray (with drain holes) to catch spilled seed. Feeder is designed so you can clearly view all the birds that stop to feed, even those on the far side. The All Weather Feeder disassembles completely for hassle-free cleaning.

Constructed of clear, UV-stabilized polycarbonate resin with stainless steel hardware throughout. Feeder is designed for black oil sunflower seed, safflower seed, sunflower meats, or mixed seed. Use alone or mix to attract cardinals, chickadees, finches, grosbeaks, nuthatches, titmice and more. 10-1/2" dia x 17" tall. Holds 4 quarts.

Filling the Seed Hopper
Unscrew the hanger hook and remove the roof. When filling an empty seed hopper, it is normal for some seeds to spill out. Therefore, it is best to fill it outside. Replace the roof. Screw on the hanger hook. Hold feeder with one hand and tighten hanger hook firmly with the other.

Cleaning
Remove roof by first unscrewing the hanger hook. Unscrew the nut on the metal rod, and lift off clamp, tube, gasket, ring and base. Unscrew the knob shaft on tray from hex coupler on rod. Separate knob and shaft from tray by removing hairpin clip. Now each piece can be individually cleaned with warm water and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry completely before reassembling.

Assembly
Insert knob and shaft into hole in the tray and secure with hairpin clip. Place tray on a flat surface with knob shaft facing up. Screw hex coupler into threads on top of knob shaft. Slide base over rod, and make sure hex coupler on rod sits into hex recess on base. Place ring over base and make sure the slots on the ring engage the ribs on the base. Lay gasket around flange on ring. Place tube over flange on ring and on top of gasket. Slide clamp over rod. Screw nut onto rod above clamp and finger tighten. Do not over-tighten. Place roof over rod, screw on hanger, and tighten firmly while holding ring.
