Great product
I bought Musher's Secret to use on our Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier during the Wisconsin winters. I trim the hair between his toes and pads to keep out ice balls on our walks and that works fine but I can't always keep them trimmed. I tried Musher's Secret and find that it is a very fine wax that applies easily and my dog does not try to lick it off.
I was surprised to read on the insert that it can be used on horses, too. It is also recommended to protect against the salt and ice melt on roads and sidewalks as well as for hot pavement and sand.
I have only used it a few times this winter but it seems like a very useful product.

Easy and it works!
Absolutely amazing! So easy to use, no mess, no fuss, no problem. Had issues with NY winter walks, with ice, snow and salt making walking difficult. Dogs would limp, stop walking, even sit down it was so bad. Tried carrying towels and bought them winter booties. No luck. Used Musher's this a.m. and walking was a breeze! Only needed a little bit, went right on, absorbed quickly on paws (longer haired dog required a little bit more effort to spread product on paws but not a big deal.) Not one stop, limp, or hesitation. It was as if there was no snow or ice around. When we got home and it was time to dry off (which is usually a chore), their paws had NO snow balled up and only required a quick wipe off with the towel just to make sure their feet were dry. Fantastic product! Worked so well I couldn't believe it. Would definitely recommend and would repurchase when we run out.

improved paws
i have a 4 year old black lab, husky\german shepherd mix; she really enjoys a couple walks around the neighborhood a day. her paws were looking ashy, and cracked, and would actually scratch you if she managed to rub her paws on you.
When I bought this product, I was thinking that it would reduce the impact rough pavement has on her paws. the waxes in this product are more or less a chapstick alternative. it smells funny and it can be difficult to convince her to stay still for the application, but i dont mind.
i apply this before walks and the health of the tissue seems much better. there is far less cracking, her paws are smooth, and the color seems revived. she doesn`t lick her paws from irritation, and shes used to the treatment.
