Drs. Foster & Smith Ear Miticide:
An indication that your pet has ear mites is the formation of dry dark brown, waxy exudate with crusts in his ears. Ear mites may be detected by placing some of the ear exudates on a dark surface and carefully watching for the movement of tiny white specks away from the exudate. Inflamed, watery or blocked ear canals indicate a more serious condition, which requires the services of a veterinarian.

Drs. Foster & Smith Ear Powder gives prompt relief from irritated, itching ears of non-parasitic origin. It stops scratching and aids in the inhibition of bacterial growth. Eliminates unpleasant ear odors. Drs Foster & Smith Ear Powder dries ear discharge and makes it easy to remove. Drs Foster & Smith Ear Powder is also an excellent aid in removing excess unwanted hair from the ears. Powder applied into the ear prior to attempting to remove the hair makes it easier to grip, less painful to the pet, and relieves any irritation that may be caused. For topical use within the ears.

1. There is an old Veterinary adage that success is "all in the holder." This is especially true with cleaning ears. Have your pet sit or lie down and make sure the environment is well lit. If your pet is active, have someone gently but firmly hold the pet and his head still. Placing a smaller pet up on a table may make restraint easier.
2. Fold the pad in half and then gently lift and squeeze Ear Clens Solution into the deepest part of the ear first. Use mild pressure and work the liquid gently into the folds while sweeping the dirt and wax toward the edge of the ear. Allow your pet to shake debris out of ears, then fold ears back to dry.
3. Once ear is dry, apply a small amount of ear powder into ear to keep ear canals dry.
4. The final step is a reward. Whether verbal praise or a treat, a reward will go a long way in making your pet feel this is a positive experience. Many pets enjoy having their ears cleaned.
5. Use Ear Miticide if your pet has ear mites.

Dear Drs. Foster and Smith, I have to share my story with you about the way Onyx loves your products! She is my 22yr old daughters' female pitbull (also refered as my granddaughter), all black with a small patch of white under her neck and one white tonail on each back paw! She is three yrs old! Well they live with me and for Christmas '08, I bought a red harness for her to replace her out grown collar. Not only was it made with sturdy material, but it was very stylish and the fit was great. It gave way for more growth (in which she grew!). We gave it to her wrapped up with some treats in it and she knew it was hers! She opened it and ate her treats while we adjusted it to her! She loves it!! We took it off to give her a shower and my daughter Katie was sitting in the chair when Onyx came up to her with the harness in her mouth and "plopped" it on to Katie's lap! Then onyx kept barking at Katie until she put it back on her ! That harness was our first purchase from you and isn't our last! Onyx also has ear allergies and when it is time to clean her ears she will walk away, come back , walk away again and look at me, and she comes back and sits down as if to say "oh okay, it feels so much better after words!
