Herbtana

Microbe-Lift Herbtana is a unique herbal expellant that provides safe control of parasitic skin flukes (gyrodactylus), gill flukes (dactylogyrus), ich (ichthyophthirius multifillis), oodinum, costia (ichthyobodo necater), chilonella and trichodina. Traditional aquarium medications commonly rely on biocides to kill parasites. Though effective, these harsh chemicals often affect non-target organisms including beneficial nitrifying bacteria. Herbtana causes the removal or dropping of parasites from their host. During treatment, parasites are unable to return to the host and starve. While Microbe-Lift Herbtana does not directly kill parasites, it is ultimately responsible for parasite death.

Directions for Use
Shake thoroughly prior to use. Remove any carbon and/or zeolite from filters. Keep biological filters operational.

Dosage
Add 1ml of Microbe-Lift Herbtana per five gallons daily for ten days OR add 1 teaspoon per 25 gallons daily for ten days. In severe cases, a longer treatment period may be required until visible results are achieved.

Dosage (for New Introduction)
When adding new fish to a quarantine tank or aquarium, alternate adding Microbe-Lift Herbtana and Microbe-Lift Artemiss at the standard dosage, 12 hours apart until two doses of each product have been added. This will act as an immune system stimulant and destressant.

Microbe-Lift Herbtana is safe for all aquatic life. It is a great aide to use when acclimating fish to a new environment. Microbe-Lift Herbtana has a shelf life of two years provided it is kept at room temperature and stored in its original bottle. Do not allow to freeze.

Microbe-Lift Herbtana is a unique, herbal, immune-enhancing stimulant which reduces: Skin flukes (gyrodactylus), gill flukes (dactylogyrus), ich (ichthyophthirius multifillis), oodinum, costia (ichthyobodo necater), chilonella and trichodina. Parasitic infections are characterized by symptoms such as: Milky skin, flashing and heavy breathing. However, they can only be diagnosed with certainty through microscopic examination.

Naturally controlled by the fish's immune system, parasites are present on most fish in very low levels at all times. When stress levels increase, the ability of the immune system to respond to its requirement to control the natural level of parasites is directly affected. This poor response allows parasites to increase in number, thus causing serious health issues in the host fish. Microbe-Lift Herbtana supports the fish's immune system, driving off the excess parasites. Since they cannot return to the fish during treatment, the majority of the parasites will starve without a host. Therefore, although Microbe-Lift Herbtana does not directly kill parasites, it is ultimately responsible for their deaths.

Note: In most cases, aquarium fish diseases are caused by poor living conditions such as overcrowding, poor water quality or an improper biotope. To prevent reoccurrence, examine the underlying cause of the problem. Quarantine new fish for at least four weeks. A single dose of Artemiss will help the fish quickly acclimate to its new environment.

When the water quality is poor, the immune system of the fish cannot be enhanced by Microbe-Lift Herbtana or Microbe-Lift Artemiss. Ammonia and nitrite should not be above 0.4ppm and the pH must be on a level suitable for the particular species of fish.
