This is a very sturdy feeder
I purchased this feeder to lure the many squirrels on our property to feed outside my office window. It arrived quickly & required absolutely NO assembly, which was a great "plus". I set it up outside my office, and the squirrels (and birds) have thoroughly enjoyed it!!! And that makes the work day more enjoyable for myself & my co-workers.
They had broken the last feeder I had put up, and this one is holding up very well.
Definitely would recommend!!!

Tremendously Entertaining for Humans and Indoor Cats!
We have had this tray feeder on our back patio for over 6 months now, and have attracted quite a variety of birds and other wildlife to our yard. Mourning doves, white-winged doves, blue jays, cardinals, and palm warblers now visit our Florida yard daily, much to the delight of our two indoor cats, that can watch this feeder through the glass patio doors. As bird lovers living in a new, partially finished development with almost no trees, the humans in our house take great delight in each new bird species that visits, and we also love watching the cats watch the birds.
For a few months this summer, we even had a family of native mottled ducks (with 8 adorable baby ducklings) that waddled up from the neighborhood pond to mob the feeder twice a day. To avoid having to refill the feeder several times each day (who knew baby ducks could eat so much?!), we quickly decided to try the Drs. Foster and Smith wildlife block. The wildlife block fits PERFECTLY in this feeder. Even with all of the voracious feeders we had this summer, each block usually managed to last about two weeks!
This Christmas, my husband received a BirdCam from "Santa" that has allowed us to capture even more visitors. Evidently, snowy egrets, rabbits, squirrels, opossums, and raccoons have also been periodically enjoying our feeder as well!
This wooden feeder has endured and withstood the intense Florida sun on a hot brick patio, as well as torrential downpours that temporarily flood the patio every few weeks. The trey feeder keeps the seed above the standing water, but lets the rain drain through to reduce the chance of mildewed seed (which is a huge problem in south Florida). Despite all of this abuse, this inexpensive feeder has held up quite well! This feeder is also easy to clean; we clean ours once weekly with the hose, plus once monthly with a few squirts of Microbe-Lift Feeder Cleaner (also available from Drs. Foster and Smith).
Thanks, Dr. Foster and Smith, for making such an easy-to-maintain, economical feeder! Our family (including our two cats) have truly enjoyed this purchase!
