Customize your bird's cage with a branch from your own backyard
Adjust the perch for natural bounce action
Fits any cage and holds branches up to 1/2" diameter
Make your own natural perch for your bird with branches right from your backyard. Real branches offer your pet bird variable footing and exercise for claws and a natural source for chewing and beak conditioning. Easy-to-assemble cage accessory - simply twist a branch into place. Perch Maker will support branches up to 1/2" diameter. You can use larger diameter branches too - just whittle it down to fit the Perch Maker. Adjust the perch tension for rigid or natural bounce action for a fun and entertaining addition to your bored bird's cage. No need to sterilize old perches, just replace them with a new branch. Fits any cage.

Instructions Select Branch
Select and inspect your branch. The insertion end of the branch should be straight (not crooked). NOTE: Branches must be inspected and be fungus-, insect-, and chemical-free for health of the bird and homeowner.
As assembled, branch diameter can be up to 5/16".
By disassembling the perch maker and removing the washer and smallest rubber hose, branch diameter can be a maximum of 1/2".
Branches larger than 1/2" can be whittled down to fit.
Loosen Perch Maker
Loosen by holding base and turning outer core counterclockwise.
For disassembly, twist outer core completely off the base.
Insert branch as far as it will go.
Tighten Perch Maker
Tighten by turning outer core clockwise. Do not overtighten. A loose tighten will give perch a natural bounce action; a snug tighten will have a rigid feel.
Attach to Cage
Unscrew and remove the plastic screw and outer base disk. Hold the plastic screw/outer base disc on the outside of cage and align the base unit on the inside.
Tighten plastic screw to be snug. Do not overtighten. Perch Maker base can be positioned to cross cage wires or fit between cage wires.
As with all toys and accessories, always supervise pets at play.
Providing the variety of perches your bird needs is easy and inexpensive. A wide range of perches is available commercially, and you can also fashion a number of suitable perches from natural materials.
Several furnishings are needed for the cage. These include perches, dishes, grooming supplies, nest box, cage cover, and toys. Ensure that when accessories are in the cage that the bird still has plenty of room to fly and move around.
