Kibble Nibble Original, 7" tall x 6" dia 3.7 5 23 23

Magical I have a 16wk Sheltie who is very active and to give myself a little break from entertaining him. I fill up this ball with his food and he just hits this around for hours!! I love it!!! September 29, 2012

Daisy loves this toy, after it was modified by me. Daisy was unable to get kibble out of this toy the way it was constructed, so I took a pair of old scissors and cut the ends of the rubber prongs holding the kibble in. I cut about 1/8th inch off of each prong. Now after a roll or two across the floor she gets a piece or two of kibble. It keeps her busy quite a while, and gives her exercise which she needs since we live in an apartment. She loves it so much I am thinking of buying a spare. I am forever trying to find it as she rolls it under the bed and under furniture as far as she can nudge it as the kibble runs out. She acts like it is "new" each time I fill it for her. Barkly Loves his treat ball! Nothing, other than chewing on my daughter's clothes, keeps our cock-a-poo happier or busier. He's had his Kibble Nibble for a few months, and I bet a day hasn't gone by that I havn't heard him roll it across the floor. On multiple occasions I've watched him play consistantly for greater than 30 minutes. May 5, 2011

Can I use it in a crate and give it to my dog when I go to work? I can't seem to find anything to keep him occupied while in his crate for 8 hours.

I wouldn't think this would be a good crate toy. It takes a lot of room for a dog to roll the ball around and jiggle the food out, and I don't think the crate would provide enough room.

Unless you keep your dog in a very large crate, I can't imaginge it having enough room to roll it around to get the treats out.

I wouldn't use it for a crated dog. The dog needs space to roll it around. Perhaps a chew bone that can't be consumed in 30 minutes would help. Good luck!

How well would this work outside?

My dogs go outside in s fenced in yard during the day while Im at work. The old man (rot mix) is fine, he just sleeps all day. But the kid (lab pit mix 1 year old) destroys everything, other toys, the fence, the yard, the doghouse, the old mans nap! They have toys, but they end up tosseed out of the fence, or behind/under the dog house or just out right eaten. I wonder if this would help. Thanks!!!

This is probably not strong enough for the jaws of a pitbull mix. The small size is too large for my cocker spaniel's mouth, so this is not a problem with a smaller dog.

Guessing you'll have the same issue as me:
Been searching for a good food challenge for my 55lb lab/german shepherd mix. Hoped this would be it. But first time I gave him his food in it, he unscrewed it in half and got to the food. Probably took 3 min to do that. Second and third times less than a minute. Fourth time I ran some thin plastic around the rim to get a tighter fit, and it lasted about 5 minutes.
This would be an awesome product if it actually stayed screwed tight or had some sort of latch or pop button to secure it.
Until then, it's going to be returned.

If you have a power chewer, not for him! I have tried all kinds of toys made for "power chewers" and most don't hold up. This one failed. This one is also frustrating so it causes more destruction! I'd go with a different brand of interactive feeder and train with him before just leaving him to get frustrated by it.

Thank you for your question. Yes, the Kibble Nibble Dog Toy would work both inside and outside. However, we do recommend that you always supervise your pet when playing with toys, and remove the toy from your pet if you see any loose pieces or cracks.

I have a baby pot bellied pig. I want to get her a busy ball to feed her with. Would your treat ball for dogs work or would she be able to open it??

I think your pig will be fine unless she's a chewer. My beagle enjoyed this toy a lot until he started to try to chew on it. It still works, but he just ends up opening it.
