Oxbow Organic Guinea Pig Food 3 lbs
I switched to this product after using Kaytee for about 2 years (the one with the seeds and fruits and colored pieces). I brought my guinea pig to the Exotic animal vet and discovered he weighed over 4 lbs.! Guinea pigs should only weigh around 2.5 lbs. We talked about his diet and she said he didn't need to be eating the Kaytee because the seeds&fruits were causing his weight gain and he got plenty of vegetables from me. If you are just starting out with a guinea pig, start with this diet and supplement with fresh vegetables (not a lot of fruits, though). I am happy to report after being on this diet for the last year and a half Mr. Nibbles is down to around 2.7 lbs.

Excellent quality and Piggies LOVE it!
I have been using Oxbow products since I became a guinea pig slave 3 years ago. This organic formula is one that they love along with the Oxbow organic meadow hay. I figure organic is the best way to go when I am able to and it shows in the health and vibrant coat on my Peruvians. I mix this with a bit of Sunaturals Guinea pig food from DrsFosterSmith, since they love a change in texture of their pellets. Pigs love to forage! Highly recommend Oxbow Organic pellets and Drs FosterSmith!

I have a guinea pig who is 7 years old and has always been healthy. My vet introduced me to Oxbow products shortly after I got him. He has been on cavy cuisine his whole life. Initially I also had his mom and sister. Unfortunately they died 3 and 4 years ago respectively. Since I've been down to one pig, I've been concerned that with a single pig, it takes much longer to go through the 5 pound bag. My main reason for changing to the organic formula is that it comes in a 3 pound bag. I'd rather purchase more often and offer fresher food. He switched over seamlessly and seems to enjoy this as much as he did the cavy cuisine.

Makes the Piggies Happy
My piggies (2 adult females) are very picky, especially when it comes to pellets. But they'll fight each other to gobble this stuff down. I've tried other cheaper brands but they're too spoiled now. This is the only type of chow that they'll eat down to the last piece. I'm not sure if this is related but they have very nice, shiny coats :)
