Creates a nice wall of bubbles
My sand airstone is holding up well. I have a 6" and it works just as well if not better than one I payed twice as much for. Hides well under gravel. Just make sure your air pump is strong enough. I use the 700 version of the fusion air pump on my 75 gallon aquarium and I have two aerated decorations and two six inch airstones on one outlet and everything has just enough air and I still have another outlet on the pump.

12 inch air stones only bubbles the first 2 inches??
Very disappointed. The saying is true once again. "you get what you pay for" Why even make a 12" stone when only 2 or 3 inches is all that works? I have plenty of air supply.

Easily Breaks
I purchased this item (12" air stone) because it was a bit cheaper than the rest. After receiving the airstone and inserting it into the gravel it broke in half. Luckily there were 2 in the package, the other one broke as well. All I attemped to do was place it in the gravel with little to no force. Now I know why it was so cheap. Plus when I connected the air hose the bubbles only exited the first inch of the airstone making the rest of it non important. They should have place two ends so you could connect another hose on the opposite side.
